Darkness is falling in the city,
time for everyone to sleep and dream.
Somewhere, there's a girl
sitting alone in a desolated 'n silent room,
holding a dry, smelling yet rose,
watching the trembling candlelight
vainly running after the shadows,
and countless memories
to open her mind's little windows.

Her fingers are lightly moving,
drawing unseen lines,
the shape of a face,
the sweetness of a smile,
the warmth of lovingly eyes,
the touch of tender hands.
All are so strangely familiar to her,
so unexpectedly beloved.
The shapes soon, disappear in the darkness,
but memories are still alive,
warming and soothing her mind and heart.

Somewhere out there, will always be a girl,
sitting in the darkness, holding a rose,
unfolding memories and drawing shapes.
Time, some day - it's meant to be -
will leave behind faces and smiles,
will clear feelings, undo the anger;
but whatever tomorrow will bring,
memories will always stay safe,
kept soundly in heart and mind,
treasured and sealed.
Memories will always be,
loneliness best fellow.
