An intense desire for creative expression has been a passion of mine since early childhood. Growing up in a small town in southeast Missouri provided a childhood with many hours spent roaming the woodlands and rolling fields. That fascination with exploring the landscape still exists for me as landscape has become the focus of my artistic career. Nature continues to provide a powerful catalyst in the evolution of my work. I try to simplify the complexities of a particular landscape to a point of lyricism, garnering the sense of place and atmosphere that is particular to that location.
