Artist's Statement

As a portrait painter, I listen closely to what my patrons want in a commission piece.
I feel strongly that a portrait must capture the likeness as well as the spirit of the subject.
My challenge is to please my patrons and show my own artistic expression in the work.
The excitement and joy I receive from patrons over the finished piece is my greatest reward.
