Artist's Statement

Carolyn's first love is the ever changing landscape. The panorama and colors have been the inspiration for many of her paintings. She primarily paints in her home studio, and uses the photographs that she has taken on her many trips around the southwest and all over Texas as her reference material. Her primary mediums are acrylic, pastel and watercolor. Her work can be found in collections locally and nationally.

"Good drawing is fundamental to being a good artist, and the “eye” is an important factor to painting what you see. I find immense joy in presenting the landscape in a two dimensional format. It is a vision as well as a passion."
