What is HTML? It stands for Hyper-Text Markup Language. It is what is used behind the scenes to create webpages. The browser reads the tags and this determines the content of the webpage.

There are two ways to see the code behind a webpage. You can click on your menu and do VIEW Source or right click on the page. It can help you by giving you ideas on how to adapt formats to your own page. If you see an image you like, you can right click on it, and save it to your hard drive. Make sure the image is not copyrighted. There is no way (that I have found) that you can hide your code. You could put a gazillion returns at the beginning of your coding and hope no one looks futher than a couple of screens. This works on beginners. You could also use a disable right mouse click javascript. It could protect your images some. Of course if a surfer saves your webpage as complete, he'll get all your coding anyway. You should feel it is a compliment that someone wants to "snake" your code.

When doing HTML, it is a good idea to use tables for formatting. HTML is very easy to learn and much better than using a webpage crutch like FrontPage. Here is a list of some of the best HTML Tutorials on the web. I learned to code using them.
