Andy Griffith: Man of Faith
In the Mr. Mcbeeve episode of the Andy Grffith Show, Griffith shows a large amount of his son Opie. Opie comes home with a hatchet that he says is given to him by a man named Mr. Mcbeeve. Andy and Barnie think he is lying so Andy tells Opie to return the hatchet to wherever he had found it. When Opie returns the hatchet to Mr. Mcbeeve and in turn he gives him a quarter for the work Opie had done for him. When Opie brings this home and shows Andy, he again does not believe him so he takes Opie out into the woods to where Mr. Mcbeeve is supposed to be, but he is not there anymore because he had just left. They both go home and Andy sends Opie to his room. Andy was going to scold him for lying, but then decides to believe him and goes out into the woods where Mr. Mccbeeve is, like Opie told him, up in the trees.
From this story I learned that one should not give up there belief in someone even though the odds are low. Andy shows his complete faith in Opie and finds that even that the odds of Mr. Mcbeeve being real are low, Mr. Mcbeeve is real. I should keep my faith in my friends and family even if what they are saying is hard to believe, just because they have earned my trust and belief and deserve it. If I expect other people to believe me when my stories seem farfetched, I should do that for others
