I am a research scientist with significant training in biochemistry and cell biology. I have spent the past eighteen years investigating novel signal transduction pathways in mammalian cells. Over the past decade, I have established a research program, funded by federal and non-federal sources, investigating fundamental questions in retinal biochemistry and metabolism. In this effort, we have utilized modern, molecular, biochemical, and immunological approaches investigating specific biological questions. My most recent efforts have been focused on investigating protein-protein interaction in vitro and in vivo, with particular emphasis on receptor-effector interactions. Over the past several years, I have had an opportunity to mentor and train several research associates, undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral fellows.
