The second scam letter to arrive in my inbox.

It is in respect of your good reputation that prompted me to contact you in
this transaction even though we never had any previous correspondence
before, but I must at this point solicit your strict confidence which by
virtue of it nature is confidential.
I am the Director in the Accounting & Auditing Dept of the Federal Ministry
of Petroleum & Natural Resources. It was during one of my routine Internal
Auditing that I came across a huge sum of money to the tune of 30M United
State Dollors which has been lying in a suspense account of the Ministry
since 1998 and I have come to realize that this money was part of the
100Billion Dollors mapped out by the then Head of State, General Abacha for
the complete overhauling/rehabilitation of all the Refineries and this
contract was awarded to various expatriate firms. I also realize that the
then Minister for Petroleum connived with some top officials including the
then Account Director to hide this money in the suspense account of the
Ministry pending when it will be convenient for them to make use of the
money without raising suspicion, but unfortunately for them, with the sudden
death of the then Head of State and the assumption of office by the new
administration, all the perpetrators were thrown out of the office and into
jail because of various allegation leveled against them, and because this
act was done by expert, the Ministry does not have any record to this
effect, it is after many years of carefully monitoring this account that I
have decided to contact you to solicit your strict assistance, to make very
brief and precise I want you to provide and account whereby this money will
be transferred into, it shall be my kind gesture to give you 30% of the
total sum while the remaining 70% shall be mine. Let me also intimate you
that this deal is 100% risk free as all modalities for the take off of this
transaction has been put in place.

For those that don't know the name "Lilith". It is supposed to refer the first female that God created. After Adam was created, God created Lilith, not from Adam's rib but from the dirt as Adam was. So Lilith was created as an equal to the Adam. Anyway to cut a long story short, Lilith resented the fact that Adam had control over her, she rebelled and God placed a curse over her and as a result she became known as a demoness and every day 100 of her demon offspring must die. How did I know all this? Err by watching Neon Genesis Evangelion. Who says amine isn't educational? Wonder if the scammer knows of Lilith?

Sorry for jeopordising the transaction by not providing 
information about my "associates". She is in fact just 
my girlfriend, Lilith. In the business circles that I 
am in, I find it much more convenient to refer to people 
as "associates" it makes the conversation seem much more 
business-like. Do not worry, you can trust Lilith as much 
as tou trust me!

Being a businessman, I know how to keep things "confidential". 
By the way which civil minsitry do you work at? it always 
good to know who I am dealing with.

I would have sent this email off later, but I got bored so I decided to just send it. This time I have attached a picture of my "girlfriend" Lilith. You wouldn't believe the time needed to find such a picture.

My quick response is because of the great importance I place on the 
business that we are undertaking. I have followed your instructions 
so that now I am spending much or my time devoted to this business. 
However, I cannot fully extract myself from my business as I hold a 
fairly senior position within it. 

Now on to the bank account, I can't use the bank account of my 
business as it would raise too many suspicions with my colleagues 
as you would agree. So would endeavour to create a new bank account 
solely for this transaction. However, creating a new bank account 
might take a few days as there is a bank holiday here. I shall 
endeavour to create the bank account as soon as possible. Also, I have 
a fax number although the fax machine is outside my office so faxing me

	Try to refer to me a "Alexander" or "Mr Kerensky" or just 
"Sir" in your emails, "Alex" is just too unprofessional in my mind, 
and we are both professional men, engaged in a professional transaction 
here. 
	I am trying my best to obtain a fax machine that I can hide 
in my office so that I can receive these confidential faxes. 
I'm afraid it will take me some time to obtain one. As you say 
in your email that the transaction will be concluded within 7 
days of getting my banking details so I don't see the pressing 
need for a fax machine whose usefulness is only for 7 days! 
Also, the telephone number is being worked on, as I said before my 
secretary takes all my calls. This being a confidential transaction

I thought the faked drivers licence would have raised some comment. Obviously I need to try harder in faking documents. How can I make this exchange more interesting? The fax number is from DataCom Marketing Corp, they spammed me with, and wait for it, the opportunity to buy "MASTER DISC 2002" with supposedly "145 million" email address, oh joy! Might as well choose here and now whether I want to become a scammer like Mr "Eze" or a spammer. Scammer or Spammer? that is the question. Promo code is also from the same email.

needed to obtain a new bank account in a non-suspicious way, as you 
can appreciate. Even more effort was needed to get a fax. I have a fax 
number although its where Lilith works. As I said before my workplace

into the deal. But I didn't think that would be a good idea, no?

I was thinking of writing an incredibly long email, with all the possibilities of picking up the phone. That would be too time consuming so I gave up. Anyway this is getting kinda boring, I didn't even include BattleTech stuff this time.

Perhaps my previous emails were not clear enough. As I have repaeatedly 
said before. ALL my calls are answered by my secretary. She picks up 
the phone and says "Hello" then we have multitude of possibilities 
afterwards:
1. If the call is for an appointment for me she records down the time 
and at the same time she checks whether or not I am free. If I am free 
then the time is recorded. If I am not free she then asks the person for 
another time to book. 
2. If the call is for a person to speak to me she asks what is the name 
of the person and which company the person is from. She then puts the call 
on hold and then ask me if I am free. If I am then I receive the call. If 
I am not free however she will take a message where she will ask the person 
for a return phone number, if the number is overseas it will raise a few 
eyebrows. 

As you can see its a highly detailed process and if a Nigerean man like 
yourself were to ring, it would raise many suspicious questions.

Also getting a private phone is out of the question, I mean I already 
have a secretary so why do I need a private phone? How will I explain 
it to my secretary? Yeah, come on think of an excuse for me.

More importantly what calls will I get from the Ministry of Finance? I 
thought this was a "secret" transaction.

Umm absolutely no plot development here... Doesn't answer any of my questions, so thats disappointing. I mean its seems other scammers at least engage in some chit-chat, this scammer might have a lower imagination that his fellow scammers.

company so that is why the fax number is in London. When you ring the number and 
send the fax it actually is received in America because the company is a 
multinational company, so all its numbers are in London but the people are in 
America. Is that clear? We will get the fax fine even from the London number 
here in America. Ahh the power of telecommunication today... I will tell Lilith 
to wait for the fax and I will keep you up to date.

Finally! the fake documents are on hand. The scammers faxed them to me, so presumably the problems at yac.com are solved. The originals are in Tiff format here but I have taken the liberty of making smaller png's. Anyway, the headers of the email show that the person that is "Tony" is not the guy that sends the faxes. I suppose the scammer could be sophisticated and have 2 dial-up accounts so as to hide the fact that he is the same person, nah he can't be that smart. Although he remembered the "promo code" part.

I just received the fax from the ministry! Lilith brought it home today, the 
ministry staff must not be able to use their fax machines! Lilith received the 
fax fine so you should really tell off those ministry staff for incompetence!

Sorry to hear about your flu, also please send my regards to Sule. You say he is 
your first son, how many sons and daughters do you have? Perhaps you can attach 
a few pictures of them just so I and Lilith can see the good family we are 
dealing with. I myself only have one child however I intend to procreate as soon 
as this business is over with. Seeing as this business is due to be over in 7 
days then I think I do not have long to wait! Procreation here I come!

However, the fax says that I am requested to go to the office to sign some 
forms. Does this mean I need to go to Nigeria? Or can I go to the Nigerian 
Embassy in Washington?

It seems Nigeria is famous for its 419 scams and it has become a national 
industry. Do not even try to deny it. Do you want to know why I am emailing you? 
The answer is that I do not love Alexander and the only reason I sleep with him 
is for his money. Yes, Alexander has alot of money, and while I am still with 
him I can use his money. Thats why I have not told Alexander about the scam yet. 
I do not care if he is tricked out of his money, he is not that smart. You 
should have seen all the trouble he went through to get the bank account setup 
and a persuading me to use the fax at my office it was funny that he did all 
that for a scammer like you. You should really thank him for all the trouble he 
has gone through becuase he thought that he will get 9 million. I know his email 
password so I can read all his emails as well. Quite entertaining I must say!

Anyway, lets get onto the deal. I want to leave Alexander becuase I don't love 
him, but I want to get some money from him. I see that you want the same thing 
from Alexander. Why don't we co-operate? We can both be richer this way. If you 
choose not to co-operate with I will tell Alexander immediately that this is a 
scam, you will not get any money and I will think of another way of leaving 
Alexander and getting his money. Do not even try to convince Alexander not to 
trust a "woman", when he is in bed with me next time, I will show you who is 
more "convincing". 

You do not have a choice in this matter. You will agree to co-operate with me. 
If you do not then Alexander will be made to see the truth of the scam. However 
to show that I can trust you, you must provide me with real information about 
the following, failure to do so will mean Alexander will know the truth.

1. Your real name. Your real name is not Tony and you do not have a son called 
Sule you obviously must be trying to scam another person using the name Sule. 
Also can I suggest that your "passport" might be able to fool Alexander (he was 
impressed actually) it can't fool a person of my intelligence. Next time, use 
the "blur" tool so that the details you typed into the passport are not that 
obvious that they are fake.
2. Your plan of how you are going to try to get money from Alexander. You must 
have a plan don't you? You will tell me your plan in your reply. Are you going 
to try to get Alexander to Nigeria and get him to try buy "cleaning fluid" to 
clean blacked American currency. Or are you trying to the get Alexander to send 
you money and gifts as bribes for the Ministry of Finance?

Remember, do not try to doublecross me, lie to me or deny your are part of a 
scam. If you do. you will never see a cent from Alexander becuase he will know 
of the scam from me. If you fail to reply to this email, then it will be your

Ok so now we have 4 characters in this saga. First the scammers: Tony at tonye2us@post.com and the Ministry of Finance "James Awolowo" at fmfinance@email.com. They seem to act in like they don't know each other. Next we have Alexander and the clued up Lilith. So today, I got a fax from James about the signing of documents and an email from tony to Lilith trying to get a phone number. Umm I think I'll need to to get some urgency into proceedings. Anyway the fax is reproduced below with the original here, and also the email

You say that you understand every line of my email, yet plainly you do not. 
There is no need for you to have my cellphone number, what you want to say can 
be done over e-mail or if you want you can fax it to me. Please don't waste my 
time, or your time will be wasted on Alexander. You want to get money off 
Alexander, that is fine. I want to do the same thing. So we can co-operate on 
the matter. I am interested however, in how many people you have actually 
scammed sucessfully.

Once again you must meet my demands first, they are as follows:

1. Your real name. Whether or not the person using the address 
fmfinance@email.com is you or a friend of yours. Please don't keep on signing 
off your messages with "Tony" it is plainly a false name, I real name please.

2. Your plan of how you are going to try to get money from Alexander.

Once I know of your plan I will be able to support your plan and get my share of 
money from Alexander in the process.

I will give you one more chance. Make no mistake I will have no hesitation in 
blowing this scam sky high! I just means that I will leave Alexander later as I 
will have to think of another way of getting money off him. This is your last 
chance provide the information as requested or else your efforts will come to 
nothing.

Good move by the scammer. Well actually its the only thing he can do. The email is actually quite long as "Tony" reproduced the two emails from Lilith so I've just shown the first part of the email here. So, the scammer has himself gone for the "slam dunk" move. Now to write the next chapter in this saga! hehehe! Geez and notice all the spelling mistakes that have cropped up! although this is deliberate by the scammer so that the scammer portrays himself as uneducated and therefore unable to defraud another person. Basically, hilarious reading anyway!

My friend, I will tell you what has happened so far. Once I started reading your 
email, shook uncontrollably! I could not finish reading the emails! I didn't go 
to any of the website listed because knew they were going to be lies about the 
good Nigerean people such as yourself and Sule. I could not believe what Lilith 
true feeling were. Using me... for ... for my money! I was so angry that my 
mouth was foaming! Luckily my secretary had a cup of hot coffee nearby, Or else 
I could have hurt myself! 5 minutes later I cancelled all of the credits cards 
that Lilith had as well as changing all the locks at my house. I threw all of 
Lilith's clothes and everything out the door so she can pick it up later. I have 
money, yes. But to think a woman would enter into a relationship just for money! 
it astounds me and makes me very angry. I was tempted to get my gauss rifle and 
go on a rampage!

email that is supposedly to come from you:

Yes, the blackened notes your talk about is quite a well-known technique here in 
Nigeria among us scammers, it is a mixture of petroleum jelly (perhaps you 
americains call it vaseline) and Iodine. Also the "gifts" method is used if the 
person is unwilling to come to Nigeria, usually if a money gift is necessary it 
is requested through Western Union and if an object is requested the "target" is 
told to send it through a courier service like DHL etc. If not a "gift" then I 
will say that there is a "handling fee" for the transaction. Quite a nice system 
if I have to say myself! The objective of course is to get the target to pay 
more and more "advance fees"

I am ready to do a deal with you. I will email you the exact details once I talk 
it over with my other scammers. Surely, you do not believe I can carry the whole 
scam by myself?

I did not believe the email, because if you entered into a deal with Lilith why 
would you then tell me about Lilith's lies? I knew that the email was fabricated 
from Lilith herself! She is trying to get on my good side but I will not be

The email was the last straw! I contacted my "associate" Mr Amaris and told him 
"deal with Lilith". Do not worry, Mr Amaris does not know about our deal, he is 
just a person I call to "deal" with people who have crossed me. The last I heard 
about Lilith is that she in a coma at the hospital with a two broken legs and a 
punctured lung. Beware anyone that tries to double cross Alexander Kerensky!

number then the Ministry might get suspicious. Since Lilith is in a coma at the

code on it will have to me sent to me. So if the ministry sends any faxes then I 
will still receive them. Over the last few days I have not heard anything from

Hello my brother Tony,

I'm disturbing the ministry over progress of the transaction, They seem so slow 
at working over at the ministry!

This method of moving money through foreign accounts is now familiar to me. 
Marye has explained it to me.. She herself needs to move 18 million US. She is a 
beautiful girl isn't she? I am in love with her! Yes, I am loving her with my 
brain and heart! In fact, every organ is in love with her like my ears, skin, 
etc. Every If told me to jump on a plane and go to Abidjan I would do it. 
Perhaps I will tell her of my wish to be beside her in person rather than rely 
on email. Where is Abidjan? Is it close to Lagos perhaps I can kill two birds 
with one stone?

I feel so sympathetic to the situation that Marye and Freda are in! Their father 
died becuase he was assinated by RUF rebels and then their mother died from 
hypertension afterwards. Two nice girls caught in the evil shroud that surround 
them. Oh the calamity! They have some money left over from their father, so they 
contacted me to help them bring it out of the country. Marye told me to keep it 
a secret, but Tony you are my brother now so I think Marye will understand if I 
told you some of her story. I am busy with some matters relating to Marye so I

It is the ministry that has the time in its hands. I have already asked them 
twice to fax me the documents. They do not even respond to me! I have a small 
problem in opening those Word documents, its always asking me to install a 
plugin to view the document, So I can only see the document if the ministry 
faxes them to me. They are the ones dragging their feet! They do not reply to 
emails and when I tried to ring their number I hear "All trunks are busy, please 
try later" and then "Your call could not be completed as dialed, please hang up, 
and try your call again."

Tony, you are not making sense. You say that I do not know Marye well. But I do, 
she emails me everyday with words that warm my heart, Her poems that she writes 
to me make me feel complete. She is not as fussy as you are! She as plenty of 
time for me and she is not that demanding, she allows me time to think over the 
transaction modalities she has proposed. 

You accuse Marye of trying to defraud me by saying that it is a new way to use 
"GIRLS". Yet you do not tell me how she is going to do it, by saying that you do 
not have enough time to tell me by email. Please I am your brother, yet you do 
not have time to explain facts to me. I know you are a hard-working man! I am 
to, yet I can find time to tell you about my life and who is important to me. If 
I thought you would were being defrauded then I will tell you! and I will 
explain to you how you will be defrauded. Obviously, I am not as good a

I have attached the faxes that the ministry has given me. I have a question. I 
wanted to ask the minstry but I thought it best I ask you first. In the 
documents I read that I must have tax receipts for the last 3 years. How do I 
obtain these?

I needed to do some tasks for Marye so I have been busy these last few days. 
Since you did not explain your suspicions of Marye. I assume that you you agree 
with me and that she is a wonderful girl. That is good news. I wish in the 
future that perhaps you my brother, Marye and I can all get together one day. 
Marye requests that I travel to Abidjan in the future. I am so excited! Marye 
sent me a picture of her sister, Freda, I have attached it as well to this email 
so that you can share in my happiness! I have begun to plan the trip to Abidjan. 
I see that it is in the Ivory Coast that it is close to Lagos. I am thinking 
that I can travel to Abidjan and I might be able to travel to Port Harcourt as

It seems like Marye might be right on the edge of scoring Alexander. Looks like Tony might have to try harder to win him back

I see that you have the same problem that I have with the ministry! When you 
open the document does it ask you for a plugin? I got the same error! There is a 
solution, but it was highly complicated so much so that I can't even remember 
the steps that Mr Amaris took to display the document for me. After reading the 
attachments. Please advise! I will try to ring you however my previous 
experience with the Nigerian phone system was not very good. I always seem to

you have something important to say then please use the email, it seems more 
reliable than the Nigerian Telephone system!

Ok lets get down to business. The ministry had faxed me several documents which 
I have emailed to you. Correct?

The Ministry asks for a "Income Tax Clearance Certificate". Obviously I don't 
not have such a certificate. Can you fax the certificate to me so I can then 
give it to the Ministry. Once I get the certificate I will send it to the 
ministry and effect the payment they request. It will take me about 2 days to 
transfer such a large sum of money to the FMF bank account. So please fax me 
with the certificate pronto!

FMF has sent me. However, the bank employee told me to stay away from the people 
operating with that bank account! She said the bank account was under 
surveilance by the US Treasury Department and that I should not put any money 
into the account! What is happening? Is there trouble with the FMF? Please
