Viviana Ariagada, my real estate friend in Asuncion, is ready to let you stay in her 2 story house in town for $50/week
while you look around for a suitable house to rent/buy. (But she prefers that
you not use her kitchen. You can have a hotplate and fridge in your bedroom.) Of course she will drive you around to see the available houses. She doesn't speak much
English but with a Spanish/English dictionary and some patience you'll be able to communicate OK.
Just let me know when you will go down there and I'll let her know so she can
meet you at the airport. She is a very friendly person and always treated me
like I was one of her own.
