11/30/97, Sunday
We wanted to put up a small Christmas tree this year.  We found a talking and singing Christmas tree that costs about the same as a live one of the same size and we thought the kids would get a kick out of it.  Nicole liked it in the store, but is scared to death of it at home.  She runs into her room whenever we turn it on.  Christopher doesn't know what to think, but he does like what goes on top of the tree.  He points to it and yells "Hat, Hat" (it's a Santa hat).

The kids wear name tags in Sunday School.  Nicole is now writing her own name on the tag.

11/26/97, Wednesday
Mommy went shopping during nap time. I walked past Nicole's room and hear something. When I go in, she's standing on her bed, looking out the window saying "Come back, Daddy. Come back."  I have today off and she's used to me going off to work.  It makes me feel wonderful to know my daughter wants me home.

11/20/97, Thursday
Mommy and the kids took a walk today and collected fall leaves and acorns.  Nicole and Mommy made a beautiful wreath with them that's now hanging on the front door.

11/15/97, Saturday
It snowed today.  Just a half inch or so, but that's a lot for Dallas.  Nicole was so excited.  We bundled her up first thing and she went out to play.  She mostly liked scooping up the snow and eating it.  I helped her make a snowball from the snow atop her play house.  She carried it around for a while and then wanted to put it in the freezer to keep.  That's where it is now.

11/11/97, Tuesday
Nicole visited the dentist for the first time yesterday.   Everything went very well.  The special Pediatric Dentist made everything fun.

11/4/97, Tuesday
Nicole is a very active little girl. She's been involved in swimming, gymnastic, dance and pre-school. She also likes to boss her little brother around. She feels obligated to yell NO at him any time she thinks he's doing something wrong. She does love her little brother, though. And they do like playing together.
