Hi again, everyone!  Our whole family had a great summer, and we hope you did too, as we head through another Fall & Winter season.

Leanne got a new job at Qwest, which she'd been gunning for. She enjoys working in downtown Denver, although she misses all the work-at-home time she had with her previous job. Ryk's job at Intellocity is going well.  It's neat working with customers like AT&T, ESPN, Microsoft, The Discovery Channel, and more.

Most of our free time lately has gone to re-decorating our house.   We're getting new flooring and carpeting throughout the house, new interior paint, and Ryk's installing new bathroom cabinets & countertops, door knobs, light fixtures, etc.  Talk about tough on a marriage!

A few months ago, Ryk proved that you shouldn't give him sharp objects by slicing off a few millimeters of two fingers in a grisly food preparation mishap. They healed pretty well, but his fingerprints now look a little funky.  For a gross look, click here.

Ryk got to climb a few 14'ers this summer, including Culebra, which is the only Colorado 14'er on private land.   Only 35 members of the Colorado Mountain Club got to climb the peak this year, so he was lucky to be one of the few to climb this year.

This summer, we saw our first Cirque du Soleil show, Dralion.  It was an amazing show and we would recommend it to everyone!  Leanne hasn't seen as many theater performances as she would like this year, but she did see the musical,   "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change."  She's still involved with the women's choir Treble By Nature and enjoying her once-a-week rehearsals.

We got to see a lot of live music In the past 7 months, Ryk got to see the Summer Sanitarium tour with System Of A Down, Powerman 5000, Kid Rock, Korn, and  Metallica. System Of A Down and Korn were outstanding. We also saw David Lindley a couple of times, Staind, and King's X.   Ryk also flew to Atlanta to see Drivin'n'Cryin' play - another severely under-rated band.  They never play in our area, and they were rumored to be breaking up, so he wanted to see them for the first time. After the show, he got to chat & take a picture with Kevn Kinney, the singer/guitarist in the band.  And just the other night, we saw Disturbed, Godsmack, and Stone Temple Pilots.

That's what we've been up to.  How about you?  Drop us a line!
