Cub Scout Pack 51, BSA
September 2001

Welcome Back!

We hope everyone had a wonderful summer. Our summer activities went well.
Below are some of the highlights and explanations of events for the first couple of months.

DUES
For the coming year dues will remain at $35.00 per year ($ 30.00 per scout for families with more than one scout), but we will be collecting dues based on the  program year rather than the charter year.   All returning  scouts paid in January / February through January 2002.  We will be collecting $ 20.00 from the returning scouts, to cover re-registration in January and pack memebership through next September.

FUND RAISING

In order to keep the cost of the program down (we haven't raised the dues in over 5 years) and to subsidize the cost of some of the events we will be running a fall fundraising event again this year, most likely the candy bar sale we had last year..  More information to follow.

SEPTEMBER
19th School Night for Scouting. This is an informational and sign-up meeting for new scouts. Please tell your friends and relatives! Returning scouts (anyone who receives this newsletter) are registered through the end of January and need not attend. 26th Den Leader – Parent Meetings and first Pack  meeting.  Ice-cream sundae social for returning and new scouts and families.
