We've successfully completed the Last month, I stated that "Pack 51 does not collect dues. All funding is provided by the annual dues paid by each scout plus the earnings from the annual fund raising bowl-a-thon." I missed one other fund raising event. We will hold a Cake Bake to raise money in November. Each boy will be asked to bake a cake with his father and bring it in for a contest and sale at the November 18th pack meeting.Bobcat trail and we're now on our way down the Wolf trail. It is important for you to work with your son as he proceeds down the trail, providing guidance and assistance where necessary.  Please keep track of your son's accomplishments and sign off in his book. For every 3 tracks completed on the Wolf trail, he will earn a bead. Four beads, and your son will earn his Wolf badge. He can also work towards Belt Loops and Arrow Points. He will not receive the credit for Arrow points until he earns his Wolf badge, but the work can start now.

The coming month will include activities around feats of skill,  the flag, and healthy living.

These are the first three wolf tracks. For feats of skill, we will attempt some hand/eye coordination games and minor physical challenges and discuss team sports. For the flag activity, we will learn the proper way to care for the American flag, including folding and display. I would also like to create a Den 3 flag. For healthy living, I may have the boys prepare a healthy meal using the kitchen area of the hall. This will depend on a few things and I need to work out the details, so we will have to see.... We are also going to add a field trip to the Home Depot for an instructional workshop to build a bird house.
