Many of us tend to identify Peru with the Incas. The Incas represent however only the final though splendid phase of a cultural period which had begun at least tree thousand years before. The kingdom of the Incas - shattered by the Conquistadors - had dominated very different peoples each of which had reached extremely high levels of art. The archeological evidence found gives Peru its heritage a heritage that both Peru and the world share. A heritage that is still to be discovered, both physically as well as culturally.

Das Inkareich, das durch die Ankunft de Konquistadoder aufgeteilt wurde, breitete seine Herrschaft uber sehr verschiedene Volkerstamme aus, von denen jeder eine kunstlerische Vergangenheit von hochstem Niveau besab. Deren archaologische Beweisstucke diesem Land ein "Vermogen an Menschengeschichte" hinterlassen haben. Ein Vermogen, das grobtenteils noch zu entdecken ist, sowohl materiell als kulturell.

Per molte persone il Peru si identifica con gli Incas.In realta gli Incas rappresentarono solo la fase terminale, sia pure splendida, di una vicenda anni prima. Il regno incaico, spezzato dall'arrivo dei Conquistadores, aveva steso il suo dominio su popoli molto diversi ciascuno dei quali aveva alle spalle realizzazioni artistiche di altissimo livello. Ze archeologiche fanno di questo Paese un patrimonio dell' umanita. Unpatrimonio ancora in gran parte da scoprire, sie materialmente che culturalmente.
