Wizard Imps, Sweatsock Pimps, and Interstellar Mongrel Nymphs

(or: It doesn't take a rocket scientist...)

What does this page title "Wizard Imps, Sweatsock Pimps, and Interstellar Mongrel Nymphs" mean?

"Just as the strength of the Internet is chaos, so the strength of our liberty depends upon the chaos and cacophony of the unfettered speech the First Amendment protects."

Ten Obscure But Potentially Interesting Facts About Me:

Mickey
  1. My friends think I look like Gabe "Welcome Back Kotter" Kaplan, just because I have dark curly hair and a moustache. So they call me "Gabe", whether I want them to or not.
  2. I named my net.company, Astra Enterprises, after my dog.
  3. I'm a rocket scientist with NASA in Houston, where I have the second coolest job in the world: I help train the astronauts how to fly and operate the space shuttle. (The coolest job, of course, is being an astronaut.)
  4. I have action figures of Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote sitting next to my computer.
  5. I'm an honorary cosmonaut. I even have the certificate to prove it, from the Radio Shack sponsored exhibit of "Soviet Space". But when I grow up, I wanna be a real astronaut.
  6. I've been collecting comic books since I was 8 years old, in 1974.
  7. I went sky diving once, back in 1989. A friend cornered me while we were drinking one night, and it sounded like a good idea at the time. While we were up in the (perfectly good) airplane the next day, the instructor had to push me out of the airplane because I couldn't jump by myself; I was too transfixed by the ground moving below me. I told my parents after the fact by saying, "Remember that thing that you didn't want me to tell you about until after I did it? Well, I did it."
  8. I went to Australia in 2002, the place in the world I most wanted to visit. Maybe because it's so far away from the US, maybe because I love the accent. Can't wait to go back.
  9. I recently visited Disney World. I think that "It's a Small World After All" is the most evil song ever made.
  10. I love my TiVo.

What the heck does "Wizard Imps, Sweatsock Pimps, and Interstellar Mongrel Nymphs" mean? Well, actually, nothing. It's just a line in an early Bruce Springsteen song called Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street? that I thought sounded bizarre enough to be a page title. That's all there is to it.
