Choral Workshop featuring John Rutter's Magnificat

If you enjoy choral singing, why not join Romsey Choral Society for their fourth vocal workshop? The emphasis will be on improving vocal technique and sight singing, using a selection of music from England, France and Latin-America and featuring John Rutter's Magnificat.

Joining us for the weekend will be one of the UK's busiest and most versatile choral conductors Jeffrey Wynn Davies, musical director of Canzonetta Chamber choir, the Manchester Chorale and Harrogate Choral Society. His Harrogate Choral week, jointly run with his wife Fiona Clucas who joins us to sing soprano, regularly attracts over 200 singers and is established as a major national choral event. Also joining us is rising star Greg Beardsell, assistant conductor of the National Youth Choir, who was an instant hit at Harrogate Choral week 2001!

The workshop will end with a concert performance of the rehearsed works in Romsey United Reformed Church. Dress code for the concert will be casual but smart. Admission to the concert will be free. There will be a retiring collection.
