Dispatch Operations - 1 ?firefighter/?civilian dispatcher staffs the fire dispatch center at Fire HQ at all times. No boxes are beeped, nor are any pager systems used on 483.6125. Stations are alerted via landlines, and via the telegraphic bell system. Some (?all) master boxes are linked to the fire dispatch office via a 72 Mhz radio system - they are known as "radio boxes" or "solid state alarms".

The Winchester dispatcher and the Burlington fire dispatcher are sometimes heard on 483.6125 talking to the Woburn dispatcher - I think they have landline connections to the repeater (possibly via mutual aid fire alarm cables)
