Dispatch Operations
One fire alarm operator/dispatcher is on duty at the FD HQ. Units are dispatched via landlines to the stations and via the telegraphic bell system. Boxes are not beeped via the radio channel. No paging is used on the FD radio system. The "Wellesley Medics" (a private contract ALS transport unit) utilizes the FD radio system when responding with fire units.
