Dispatch Operations -
Police and fire dispatch were combined in 1998. Fire companies are dispatched via radio and boxes are beeped via radio. Contract ambulances are dispatched via 154.325. Administrative paging is done on 154.325 (5/12/99) A Class B telegraphic bell system is used. Fireground radio traffic has historically only been on 153.83 due to the adjacent Everett FD using 154.31 as their primary channel.

Admiral Hill Apartments Complex - gets 1 Boston engine on all first alarms
Soldiers Home - gets 1 Revere engine and 1 Revere ladder on all first alarms
East Boston boxes - 1 Chelsea engine reponds to Boston E9 station on all East Boston boxes
Tobin Bridge - box alarms receive 2 Boston engines, 1 Boston ladder, and Boston R1 in addition to Massport E1, Massport R1, and Chelsea companies.
