Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1970, he begun his musical instruction at an early age with his father, and after followed his career as guitarist at Maracaibo Conservatory of Music with Ciro Adarme and Gerardo Soto, where he got his diploma of Classical Guitarist in 1989. After graduated, he followed his studies at Lisandro Alvarado University, with Master Rodrigo Riera, and getting summer and master classes with Alirio Diaz and Luis Zea.

 

He has performed a large amount of solo recitals, chamber music and concerts with orchestra, also has recorded TV programs in Aruba and Venezuela. Founder of "Ciro Adarme" Guitar Quintet and MOSAICO Chamber Ensemble, has played with them since 1988. Has won the 1st prize in Soloists Contest of Zulia University in 1990, and the 1st Prize at Chamber Music for Young Musicians Contest of Humboldt Association in the same year.

 

Since 1995 has been working at Maracaibo Conservatory of Music as Classical Guitar Professor, teaching advanced levels pupils, also has taught master classes in Zulia University, Aruba National Library, PDVSA, among others.

 

He is also graduated as Medical Doctor at Zulia University, Specialist in Psychiatry, and since 2007 works at the University of Chicago as Post-Doc in Human Genetics Department.
