Hi My name is Hoss and I play the Tuba(A St. Petersburg 201N BBb 4 Valve Rotory) at Mansfield University.I started playing the tuba at Huntingdon Area High School.I have been playing the Tuba for about six years now, and I would not trade it for the world!!
This page is devoted to letting people know that we don't just sit in the back of the band or orchestra and UM-PAH all the time,like our dear Brother Tubby the Tuba. I think that it is time we Tuba Players stood up for our selves!
WHAT THE TUBA REALLY MEANS TO MUSIC
The Tuba does more than lay out heavy beats on one and three,the Tuba is there to contribute a nice low tone. Peole like Bass that is why you see(and hear) those cars that have the bass turned up so high that the car itself is shaking. You hardly ever see one of those cars with the Treble turned all the way up do you?!?!?!?!?
