PLAMEN PARVANOV

Plamen Parvanov was born in 1954. He graduated from the “Pancho Vladigerov” State Music Academy in professor Dimitar Ruskov’s class in choir conducting and in professor Konstantin Iliev’s class in orchestra conducting. He later specialised at the Moscow Philharmonic with Dmitrij Kitaenko and at the Bolshoi Theatre with Yuri Simeonov. He has been on concert tours to Greece, Latvia, Russia, Spain, Belgium, Macedonia, Germany. He was also conductor at the Plovdiv Opera, guest-conductor at the Plovdiv Philharmonic and other orchestras around Bulgaria. He is the founder and director of the “Dobrin Petkov” Youth Sinfonietta - Plovdiv. In 1999 Mr. Parvanov made his debut in "Thracia Summer" Music Festival.
