VANIA MONEVA

Vania Moneva born in Veliko Tarnovo, started playing piano at the age of five, and, at the same time, studied solfeggio and musical theory. She graduated from the High-School of Music in Rousse as a pianist. Still a student she has given concerts with Rousse Philharmonic Orchestra. She continued her education at the State Music Academy "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, specializing in choir conducting taught by the famous professor Vassil Arnaudov. In that time she won her first National Prize. Vania Moneva has been managing the choir society in Kazanlak for more than 10 years, leading six different formations! She has won many Bulgarian and International prizes and had performed in concerts in Europe, U.S.A. and Canada. She has recorded six CDs and the Bulgarian National Television has made two films about her. As a conductor Vania Moneva showed an interest in working with women choirs. In 1994 she created the famous folk choir "Cosmic Voices" which is having an enormous success all over the world. Being a talented choirmaster and by using a great variety of sound color and movement, she created a new Bulgarian folk singing.
