New in Diplo 2.8:

• History.
• Many more details in the adjudication's output.
• Improved interface.
• Modified adjudicator based on Thaddeus Black's Precise Usage.
• Standard help.
• Saving the game in .bmp format.
• Color Printing.
• Installation program.
• Animation.

Problems with Diplo 2.8:

• The most important change in Diplo 2.8 is the fact that the path for the convoyed orders needs to be specified. I am planning to change this sometimes in the future, but I don't know how much time it will take.
• Diplo 2.8 is not 100% compatible with files created with previous versions meaning that fleets in bicoastal provinces will always be situated on the South Coast. You will have to manually modify the game to place such fleets on the proper coast if necessary. You might also experience problems with RDB-s.
• Still no support for variants. Steps have been made towards this, but there's more work to be done.
• Diplo 2.8 is protected by a password that will change each month. The password will be available for free on this page.

Next version will feature:

• Support for Judge files.
• Support for variants.
• Sounds.

Diplo 2.* is FREE, there will never be a charge for it. Unless you insist, Canadian funds accepted.

For those who don't like Diplo's graphics, who miss the 2.7 style where the Units were surrounded by a colored box, there is Diplo 2.81. The only difference between 2.8 and 2.81 is the capability of drawing your own Units. You can find out more details here. If you don't mind how the Units look, getting this version would be a waste of time. If you do want to customize the Units, uninstall 2.8, download 2.81 and install it.

Download Judge282.zip (36 K). This file contains Judge.dll version 2.8.2. If you don't have this version of Judge.dll, please download it and unzip it in the directory where Diplo 2.8 is installed, replacing the existing Judge.dll.

Download DLLs (443 K). This file contains Mfc42.dll which is used by Diplo 2.8 (just in case you don't have it).

Download Rand (50K). Rand is a program that randomly assigns countries to Diplomacy players - Windows 3.1.
