INTRODUCTION |
Hiragana is the form other than Kanji for writing out words native to the Japanese language. Usually, Hiragana will be
used for the sentence particles and modification of nominals (nouns), verbals (verbs), and adjectivals (adjectives). |
Hiragana was created from Kanji over time. People would write the Kanji pictures more rapidly, changing the appearance
of the Kanji character, much like the difference between printed letters and cursive letters in english. From these "cursive"
Kanji were born Hiragana. |
One can write Japanese in all Hiragana and Katakana. The use of Kanji, however, makes both reading and writing of Japanese
much faster as the Kanji characters contain key elements of sentences, and can be used to speed read.
