Real World XII Preview: Welcome to Sin City: The Real World Guide to Vegas | The "seven strangers" of the reality show's Las Vegas season are introduced. Included: a look at the cast's swank digs.
(1 hour) (Season premiere) | The 12th season of the reality series kicks off with the "seven strangers" arriving at their new home: a posh penthouse suite in a Las Vegas casino hotel. This time around, the group includes Alton, a likable San Diego resident who plays the violin; sweet Arissa, a Boston native with money worries; and Brynn, a self-described "party animal" who has a sharp wit---and a pierced tongue. Rounding out the cast are outgoing Frank, who hails from a small rural town in Pennsylvania; artistic Irulan, who left a boyfriend behind in New York; flirtatious Trishelle, who likes "nice, but not too nice" men; and Steven, who once got married in Vegas---and is now getting divorced.
| Alton's former girlfriend, whom he slept with before leaving for Vegas, may be pregnant; Trishelle discusses the loss of her mother and the impact it had on her relationship with her father; Brynn hooks up with Steve and Trishelle.
| The roommates receive their job assignments; Arissa misses her boyfriend and becomes annoyed with Irulan, who blames Frank for the rift.
| Irulan flirts with her boss Marc, but becomes uncomfortable with his attention; Arissa is hurt by a "joke" Frank makes, causing Alton to come to her defense.
| In an emotionally charged installment, Brynn's simmering jealousy of Trishelle and Steven's relationship finally boils over, putting her status on the show in jeopardy. Aware of the tension that already exists between Brynn and Steven, Frank confides to a friend that "you can see the little blisters that are going to develop into huge open wounds." Minutes later, Frank's prediction comes to pass: The lovebirds want to share a room and the feisty Brynn---who bunks with Trishelle---refuses to be the one who moves. In the melee that follows, Brynn throws a fork at Steven and shoves him, leading him to call a Real World producer. "My mind is made up," he insists. "I want her gone."
| The roomies take part in a "Good to Be Bad" event at Rain, but not all of them enjoy the roles they're assigned. Brynn and Irulan have fun preparing a sensual ski dance with each other, but Alton worries how he will be perceived. Also, Trishelle's behavior with a bartender rubs the other girls the wrong way.
| Alton hooks up with a contestant in the "Ghetto Fabulous Bikini Contest," but their romp in the communal bathtub doesn't sit well with Arissa. Also: Brynn, in need of extra cash, takes a part-time job as a go-go dancer.
| The roomies worry that Trishelle has an eating disorder; Alton has a minor problem that Irulan hopes she can solve for him.
| Irulan's boyfriend Gabe arrives for a visit. Also: Alton's mother visits, bringing with her important papers that Alton must sign regarding the case against the man who abducted and killed his brother.
| Steven's best friend, who is gay, arrives for a visit. Everyone likes him except for Alton---who admits that he has issues with gay people. Brynn, however, helps him to rethink his position. Also, Trishelle acts jealous when Steven hits on a few sorority girls.
| Frank meets a nice girl who's in town for Spring Break. Looking for some privacy, they choose to retire to the confessional, but their fun is interrupted by Arissa, who walks in on them. Also, the roommates' latest performance at the club draws a small crowd, causing their boss to become concerned with their work performance.
| The roommates attend an all-day workshop that teaches team-building skills; Arissa begins to feel comfortable with the others and opens up to them; Alton and Trishelle both come to terms with their feelings relating to their lost loved ones.
| Brynn is torn between Mo, a cool guy she's been hanging out with, and Austin, a nice guy she met a week before coming to Vegas. Also, despite being late and nauseous, Trishelle refuses to take a pregnancy test until Steven buys one for her.
| Arissa is involved in a fight with a female customer at the Rain nightclub after the woman calls her a name. Also: Arissa's boyfriend visits, which causes Irulan to pitch a tent in the living room to give the lovebirds privacy.
| Irulan celebrates her birthday and has fun with her visiting friend Mikey and Alton, with whom she goes out to celebrate. Also: Alton hooks up with a school teacher.
| The cast learns that they're going to Australia to promote the Palms. Also, a drunken Steven tells Trishelle that he loves her, but the admission causes them to go their separate ways. In Australia, Trishelle hangs out with Frank while Steven spends time with the other roommates.
| In Australia, Irulan is upset with Alton for bunking with the boys instead of her; Alton, however, is having a ball, and claims to Steven that he slept with two women at once earlier in the evening. After the roommates return to Las Vegas, that claim plays a part in Irulan's decision to go home.
| Rather than be "played" by Alton, Irulan prepares to leave for home until Aryssa convinces her to stay. However, when she learns of Alton's tryst in Australia, an angry Irulan confronts him about it.
| Arissa has a major fight with her mother that leaves her in tears. She later celebrates her birthday with her roommates and not her uncle, who's visiting Vegas. Also: Frank's ex-girlfriend Emily visits; he hopes to rekindle their romance.
| Frank has relationship issues with Emily; and travels with Steve and Trishelle to L.A. for an interview to enter USC's MBA program. Also: the housemates work on a story for a Stuff magazine article and pictorial.
| Alton and Irulan continue their drama, with Alton resenting her decision to date his friend Davin. Meanwhile, Arissa contemplates breaking up with her boyfriend of six years.
| Trishelle's friend Brian visits before leaving for China, where he plans to do volunteer work. Steven encourages the relationship, but can't hide his jealousy. Also: Irulan, Arissa and Trishelle take part-time jobs at the hotel pool as cocktail waitresses.
| Steven admits that he has feelings for Trishelle, but they decide to remain just friends. Steven also celebrates his birthday. Meanwhile, Irulan and Alton discuss their feelings for each other; and Alton almost gets into a fight when someone spills a drink on him.
| Brynn suffers anxiety and panic attacks and fears she may be schizophrenic; she also worries about her mother, who has checked herself into rehab. In other events, Arissa and her ex-boyfriend have a yelling match on the phone; Arissa meets a nice guy named Alex.
| Steven explains to Trishelle that he only wants to be friends, which doesn't go over well with her. Meanwhile, Irulan and Alton's relationship turns hot, but she has second thoughts when he asks a dancer for her phone number in front of her.
| Arissa contemplates getting back together with her ex-beau Dario until a friend of Irulan's---who knows Dario from school---tells Arissa some heartbreaking information. Also: Steven plays matchmaker for Trishelle and introduces her to a nice young man.
(season finale) | The roommates say goodbye to Sin City and each other as the reality series wraps up its 12th season, its longest and bawdiest yet. "I fell in love with six strangers [who] I believed would hate me the second I walked in the door," says Arissa, who isn't thrilled to be returning to Boston and her dysfunctional family. Alton and Irulan, meanwhile, contemplate continuing their relationship while living on opposite coasts. During one final night on the town, the cast members gather for a group dinner, which turns into what Irulan terms a "lovefest," as each roomie offers testimonials to the others. On their last day, they enjoy a helicopter tour of the city.
