Purgatory This hell too dark And heaven bright, And fairie long forgotten; This doom-edged day And mortal night, These twilight dreams verbodden. Like rainbows brief, In shimmer lives, We sing our souls aloft; Yet fall our eve With stained-glass knives, We do not die so soft. When love divides To all or none, And halves cannot be spoken; The nat'ral laws, In blood and bone Reveal their truths unbroken. Between the lines Of birth and death, Between what's good and bad, Lie all the worlds That e'er drew breath- "Between" was all they had. --Megan Morris, meikundayo@yahoo.com
