I know that look-
The look I don't understand:
The pursed mouth, the widened eyes,
The line between your brows.

It makes me fear
The secrets between us,
For how exposed they are,
And for what you might think
If forced to react
Instead of ignore.

Summoning courage,
I offer a penny for your thoughts;
You blink and reply:
"I was trying to read yours."
