Hello there! My name is Wai-Kwan Lau. Most of my friends call me Vikki. Some interesting facts about me... I'm originally from Hong Kong. I was born there and I grew up there, until I decided to explore myself and went to the U.S. to attend college. I obtained my bachelor degree from the University of Kentucky, with majors in Economics and Sociology. Studying abroad was my greatest experience. It made me become more independent, and I learned very well in viewing things in different perspectives.
After my graduation, I thought I should gain more real world experience by making my first step towards my career. I joined the team at Clopay Building Products in Ohio. Clopay is a leader in American garage door industry. I was a representative in its Furnish and Install Department, which serves customer's installation needs upon sale. I gained a lot of experience in dealing with sub-contractor and customer satisfaction issues.
I worked for Clopay for about a year. Right now, I'm pursuing my MBA degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I like MU very much, because they offer small classes and they have good academic reputation.
Apart from school, I enjoy listening to music. My favorite musicians include Alanis Morissette and Tori Amos from the States, and Faye Wong from Hong Kong. |
