Asuka Langley Sohryu, the second children, has a very mysterious past. But one things for sure, she is totally up herself and thinks she is the best pilot, untill shinji beats her on a sync test. Asuka comes into the series on a UN cruiser, along with Unit 2, and Kaji. On her debut, she defeats the water angel, and gains much respact from her peers. Although Asuka "likes" Shinji, she hates him and is forever compeating with him. She hates Rei the most, because she is the most liked by the commander. Asuka is 3/4's German and 1/4 Japanese, and athough she is a genius and fluently speaks Japanese, English, and German, she can't read Kanji (a Japanese script) very well. |
