This here is a small collection of some of my drawings as well as
some artworks by various artists that I particularly admire.

Artist: Gerry Hsu
Medium: Pencil
This picture is a piece that I did back in October '97 as a sort of cyber-card
for Halloween. It's not too good, but a lot of people liked it so I'm keeping
it up here. A big thanks to my roommate for scanning it for me!

Artist: Gerry Hsu
Medium: Pencil
Here is one of my personal favorites even though it's very dark and scary looking.
I did this piece back in my senior year of high school for my art class. And no, I'm
not some crazy satan worshipping lunatic or anything like that. The picture was
created from a composite of various pictures and one of them just happened to be skulls.

Artist: Masamune Shirow
These two pics are from one of my favorite artist, Masamune Shirow. He's a Japanese
manga artist who is internationally known for his creation of Ghost in the Shell
which has since become a full length animated movie. The picture on the left is of
Major Motoko Kusanagi, the main character of the Ghost in the Shell story. The pic
on the right is from Intron Depot which is a compilation of his artwork that was
previously unpublished.

Artist: Kevin Miller
Medium: Pencil / Color Pencils
These two pics are drawn by my friend, Kevin. As you can see, he loves to
draw female comic characters. The one on the right is Fairchild from the
Gen13 comics and the one on the left is Psylocke from the X-MEN. Be
sure to visit
Thunder's Homepage to see more of his great drawings.

Artist: Gerry Hsu
Medium: Pencil / Ink / Watercolor / Color Pencils
This piece was
done for my art class in high school where we were suppose to morph two unique objects
from one to the other. Not knowing what to do, I ended up using two mythical
creatures to use as my subjects. Amazingly, it came out okay even though it still
looks weird everytime I look at it.

Artist: Gerry Hsu
Medium: Pencil / Ink / CG (using Adobe Photoshop)
This here is my first meager attempt at CG. I used Sephiroth, the infamous
villain from Final Fantasy VII, as my first victim. I hastly drew and inked
the layout then colored it in Photoshop.
I used a rendered image for the background and filters on text for
the name logo. This was done in part to a request from a friend so I didn't
spend as much time on it as I would've liked. But I think it's quite good for my
first time around, no? ^_^

Here's my second try at CG which went a little smoother than my first attempt.
Instead of coming up with my own picture this time, I just decided to freehand copy
the amazing art of Kosuke Fujishima (the creator of Oh My Goddess). And I
didn't bother inking the layout since pencil was easier to work with. I didn't
bother with a background or lettering either this time. I got lazy, ok? :P

Although you can't tell, there's actually five pictures in this piece. I drew
and colored each of the characters separately. Then
everything was put together using Photoshop. The final
result consist of a rendered background (which i didn't do) and simple text.
The piece was done as a gift for a friend of mine (who happens to be my greatest anime
inspiration) when she requested an image for her desktop wallpaper.

Those of you who are Rurouni Kenshin fans will recognize the characters in this picture. It's
the famous Aoshi with the adorable Misao in what I like to consider to be my personal tribute to
the beautiful couple. It took me about a month to finalize this picture so I hope you like
it.
