Tifa is a member of Avalanche, and she also tends the "Seventh Heaven" bar in the slums. She is Clouds childhood friend, and she holds a certain affection towards the boy she has grown up with, though she will never admit it. The entrance of Aerith into the story begins a love triangle, of which Tifa ultimately gains the love of Cloud. I wonder if she knows about Clouds date with Aerith? :P
Tifa is a fighter, though she can still handle magic. She was taught to fight by a martial arts trainer that was visiting her town at the time Clud had visited with Sephiroth.
