Cid is a pilot. He was to be the first person in space until Shinra cut the funding to the Space department and decided to focus on Mako. Shinra cut the funding because Cid cancelled the first mission to spare the life of his friend Shera. From that point on he mindlessly spent his days as Mayor of Rocket town. He wastes his time in the leaning rocket that never flew, and he tunes up his airplane he calls the Tiny Bronco. Shera felt obligated towards him since she crushed his life long dream, so she devoted herself to serving Cid.

Cid has an odd array of abilities. He can use magic and physical attacks equally great. His weapon, the spear, is powerful and helpful.
