This seemingly innocent flower girl is actually the key to saving the earth from the threats that face us in FF7. She holds the white materia, which she used to summon holy, which let Cloud and the team have a chance against the almighty Sephiroth. After Clouds first mission with Avalanche, he runs into Aerith in the downtown area of Midgar, and she instantly falls in love with him. After the second mission a mishap occured which ultimately set Cloud flying through Midgar, where he finally landed in the church where Aerith tends flowers. Luckily her flower bed broke his fall, or this game would have had a much smaller storyline ^^;. Now Aerith, trys to be sly and asks Cloud to be her bodygaurd in exchange for one date. Cloud, is not an idiot, he gladly accepts. This begins one of the biggest love triangles ever seen in an RPG.
Aerith is an ancient. Magic runs through her veins. That is why she is more magically empowered rather than physically. I don't think any of her limit breaks do something offensive, they either heal everyone, cure them, etc.
