Stuff For Saya
Birthday: Feb 4
Education Fund
The best gift for Saya is a
contribution to her education fund, which has grown very rapidly
already. We assure you that 100% of all money sent to Saya goes in this
fund, and that Saya will not have access to it unless/until she goes to
college. Or if we decide there is some other pressing educational need,
such as language school. You can make checks payable to her or us,
either way.
Toys/Books
She has 3 boxes of toys already, so
she is in no real need. In fact, we have already had to hide some toys
so she will forget about them, and we can bring them out again later.
Also, she has as much fun with pots, pans, blankets, and old newspapers
as she does with store-bought toys. You would probably be better off
saving your toy-buying energies for later, when she actually has
something she wants. And that time will definitely come!
However, if you would like to buy
her a toy, she seems to like:
-
Books with cardboard pages (she
tears/chews on paper)
-
Books with buttons that play
music/say words
-
Things that stack or go inside of
each other, like rings or cups
-
Soft toys with interesting
textures or bells/rattles inside
Remember – ANYTHING you give her
goes directly in her mouth, so no small parts or things that can be
chewed off and swallowed accidentally.
Clothes
Really, she has more clothes than
she can wear now. If you want to buy her clothes, hang on and wait for a
bit, she will need new clothes soon enough.
When buying clothes, we prefer:
-
Snaps, not buttons/zippers
-
Shirts that snap under the diaper
to make “onsies”
-
Overall-type pants that have snaps
on the legs to take off diapers
-
Leggings with little footy
coverings
-
Please, no coats – she has three.
-
Easily washable, soft fabrics,
like cotton jersey
