Name: Blaine Fenton
Meaning: Lean marshland dweller
Age: 16
Zodiac: Taurus (April 23)
Gemstone: Labradorite (Birthstone: Diamond)
Bloodtype: B
Birthplace: Gainisg. A pretty large kingdom with a population of about...50. It is found just about smack dab in the middle of Inferi and is known for it's very large fields of water chestnuts and rice paddies. Don't jump to conclusions now. I just said that they were known for that...Never said that they were sucessful. ^~ Are they? Not really. :B
Height: 70 in/175 cm
Species: Marsh Dragon :B
Clan: Marshies/Plant
Voice: Blaine's voice is pretty low and flows as he speaks, dwindling in the air even after he has finished. When he gets excited or nervous though, his voice seems to go up into more of a high squawk. XD
Likes: People, his Nan (grandmother), water chestnuts (and they have plenty), just...food in general, his homeland, fog, lights that glow rather than shine, bright plants and sweet things.
Dislikes: People who talk smack about his Nan, people who avoid him like the plague, the fact that Gainisg has a population of practically no one, most salty foods, and beetles.
Hobbies: Working in the rice paddies and running errands. (He doesn't get to do much else.)
Strengths: Quite friendly, can eat a hella'va lot of water chestnuts, has a good sense of direction and follows instructions well.
Weaknesses: Very leechy, doesn't leave people alone, gets annoying, can't carry a tune in a bucket, gullible and he can't read.
Fears: Losing his way and that Nan's plan won't work out.
Colors: Murky brown and an olive green
Aspirations: To learn to read.
Most Wanted: A meal with some sort of meat. (Meat is hard to come by in Gainisg and Blaine has never had any.)
Human Appearance: Blaine has light brown skin, like that of a cardboard box, and light, large, round olive green eyes, that look a little shocking compared to his black hair and dark complexion. His hair is very curly and goes down to the nape of his neck. He usually slicks his hair back, leaving his curls to puff out at the bottom. His head is an oval shape and his body is lean and lanky from the lack of protein in the boy's diet. His overall appearance is an overeager one if not just a tad oily. (He kind of looks like a used car salesman) He has a somewhat confidant carriage and air about him as well, though his face usually portrays a surprised/or sorry face.
Attire: Blaine usually wears high boots to tuck his pants in, light shirts, and pants that are maybe a size or two too large around the leg. He wears it with suspender type straps and a wide leather belt. When Blaine is working or on an errand he'll have a colored cloth tied around his right forearm to neatly and easily wipe sweat off of his forehead.
Personality: Blaine is very leechy. He also tends to not leave people alone. But once you get past his leechy exterior, Blaine is actually very nice, if not just a bit of a show off. He likes to show people that he is polite and well mannered. Why? Because his Nan taught him, why else? :B Blaine considers everyone to be a friend at first, then actually concludes later if it is really true or not. (Usually he says it is true :B) He doesn't fear strangers and thinks that if someone even looks at him, they have been his best bud since forever. He'll start conversations off with something like, "Remember that one time when..." even if he had just met the person moments earlier. Blaine is also just a tad forgetful. He tends to forget some things and then perhaps recall them at some later, inappropriate time.
Blaine is also gullible. He believes most of what people say, especially his Nan. (Well, when you can't read and live with nobody else, who else are you going to believe?) He thinks that one day, his Nan's plan will come true and everyone will come to live in Gainisg to work in the very successful job of rice and water chestnut farming. (:B Psh...Yeah...when pigs fl...*gets hit with some airborne bacon*) Blaine can't sit still. He's one of those, "I have to do something" type of people. He gets ancy if he has nothing to do. So he likes to take his time and do his job correctly so that way he'd have something to do for a longer amount of time. He follows instructions well and has a good sense of direction. He always knows where he is going unless he thinks about getting lost...then he will. XD
Blaine doesn't like physical fighting. If he sees one, he'll usually make an effort to get away, just so he won't have the chance of getting involved. He believes in the more pacifist ways of life, even if he doesn't always practice his belief. :B He will verbally fight, but doesn't do that too often either. But iffen you talk badly about his Nan, he will go out of his pacifist belief and probably kick you rather hard in the shins or something. XD
History: Blaine's mother and
father lived in Europe with his older sister, Kelsee, and their
grandmother. They weren't very successful in their business, so
the grandmother came up with a "brilliant" plan. They
would go to Inferi. It was full of marshie lands that they could
use to farm water plants, such as rice and water chestnuts. The
family, still not successful since the last time we talked about
them, was willing to give it a go and packed up all their belongings
to travel to Inferi. After much traveling, they finally
reached Gainisg, a rather large kingdom with practically nobody
living there. The grandmother, simply delighted in Gainisg, started
right away in giving the family orders to start their new lives.
It took some work, but soon, the family was well on their way
in their new jobs.
A year after they arrived in Gainisg, Blaine was born. He was a chubby and healthy baby boy, and very "talkative". He smiled whenever he could...he was the per....okay...enough baby... Anywho, Blaine grew up and was around his grandmother for most of the time while his parents and sister, 7 years older, worked in the fields. By the time Blaine was 5, his parents decided that they wanted to go back to Europe. They still weren't used to the humidity of Gainisg and they felt that they were actually going somewhere in their old profession. The parents agreed that it was too much of a trouble to bring little Blaine along with them on their long trek back, so they left him with the grandmother who wanted to stay anyway.
Blaine grew up with his Nan, learning to work and trade and never learning to read or write. But he didn't much care. One particular misty and humid afternoon in Gainisg, Blaine was traveling to Nundinae, a small town with a few trading stations, found right outside of Gainisg, when he began to let his mind wander. He was starting to wonder what would happen if he got lost and before he knew it...he did. With the small bag of the rice he brought to trade weighing down his pocket, Blaine started to take off due south. Getting further into Gainisg, (and not to mention further lost) Blaine started to come across some of the more unstable grounds and ventured into the swamps. With one nervous and slippery step, Blaine fell into the deep and murky swamp, a thick layer of goo covering the surface of the water. A few moments passed and Blaine realized that he had held his breath quite a long time...He also realized that he could see through the cloudy waters. Paddling himself to the surface of the water, he found his hands were no longer hands but rather large webbed feet. He stretched out his neck and broke the gooey surface of the water, both sets of his eyelids blinking away the water and the muck. Not quite sure what happened, Blaine sat in the swamp for a while before he remembered the precious rice and climbed out of the water. He fished for his clothes with his webbed foot and found them in the indecipherable threads they had become from the jagged plants hidden beneath the murky layer of goo. It was about that time that the very confused Blaine became human once again and began to make his way home, figuring out where he was after a few tries. To this day, his Nan still doesn't know why Blaine returned mucky, wet, undressed and empty-handed.
