Brakes are one of the most important parts of your car.  We should always keep them in good condition and check pad wear and replace when needed.

Need a short course about your braking system visit HERE.

The original brake disk size for the 206GTi is 266mm vented (front) and 247mm solid (rear).  OE part number for brake pads are 4251.96 (rear) and 4251.52 (front).

Braking power can be improved by upgrading to fast road brake pads.  More expensive options would be to upgrade the brake disks to either grooved, drilled or both.

Below are some of the options available for upgrading braking power, cheapest modifications first.

1)    Uprated brake pads using OE brake disks.

2)    Uprated brake disks with fast road pads.

3)    Uprated both caliper and brake disk size. (Possible wheel size upgrade)

Brake pads

EBC Greenstuff

These pads have won several awards in UK for being one of the best fast road pads.  Less brake dust and outstanding performance.  Still waiting for confirmation as to when they will be available in HK.

Mintex Pads

C-tech M1144 (blue box) are fast road pads.

Rear pads part number MDB1339 1144, price is £31.75

Front pads - TBA

OMP

Fast road pads in 50oc-400oc and 100oc-800oc.  If used with OE disks the chances of disk wear will greatly increased.  Also note that as these pads are harder than OE there is some noise when coming to a halt.

Red Dot Racing and Momo also supply brake pads for the 206.

Brake disks

Black diamond

These disks come in drilled, grooved or combination of both to satisfy your needs.  Available from shops in the combination of drilled and grooved, but no pads yet!  Been informed that the usage of OE pads are okay.

Part numbers for the drilled and grooved disks:

Front Disc - KBD 344

Rear Disc  - KBD 474

Above picture shows the front Black Diamond Combo disks before and after installation.  The pads are OE as the choice of pads are very limited if available.

LAD disks

These disks are manufactured in UK.  They are only available in a cross drilled design.  Pictures to follow.

Calipers

306GTi/AP Racing

Two choices that are available at this time, 306GTi or AP Racing setup.  Note in order to install the AP setup you must have at least 16" wheels.  306GTi setup will just fit nicely with the OE wheels but to be confirmed.
