This ship is a real old-timer
- - -
Launched in USA as an "Auk
Class/Catherine Class british Minesweeper" in Jan. 1943 as "Bam-32", -
and transferred to Great Britain as HMS "Tattoo" in October 1943 under
the Lend/Lease act.
Returned to USA in 1947 and
finally transferred to Turkey as the "Carsamba" and finally struck from
navy register in 1985.
