The above, - and the following picture -,
are from the longest voyage "Emma Jebsen" ever did.
It started in the Black Sea at Constanta,
- Romania -, through the Bosporus and the Dardanelles into the Aegean-
and the Mediterranean Sea, passing Gibraltar into the Atlantic Ocean going
south around the Cape of Good Hope -, into the Indian Ocean, heading for
the Malacca Strait and further on through the South China Sea, the Formosa
Strait and the East China Sea to the final destination, Shanghai in China!

It started in Romania on January 3rd. 1972
and ended in China February 17th. 1972 - - -

In dry dock again - - - -
This time in Hong Kong, - in November 1973
-, just a few months after the docking in Japan!
Here First Officer Birger Hauerslev inspects
a damage in "Emma Jebsen's" bottom after she hit an uncharted reef between
the Philippines and Taiwan.
I was on vacation, - but since I lived in
Hong Kong in those days -, I did of course take the opportunity to visit
my old ship and have a look at the damage - - -
