“Never been stated in the prophecy, a gleaming
birth of the 80’s. Now strongly been devoted to
preserve its image from the sucker mcs”.
Yo! Everybody’s indulge and die over to hear it
but nobody has the nerve to do it. However,
things done changed until 1998, was the
transitional for hip-hop on our block. The
birth of Flip-Hop Crew who started with
only five pioneers who unite in order to
prove what hip-hop is all about.
Now it is gettin bigga and better as many
heads who wanted to get involve on the
mission of the organization.
Straight up for good, hip-hop is already on
us. We started it and made this kinda organization
for real. This is about us, Flipz who dedicated to
preserve and represent the true meaning of
hip-hop against the negative view as only flashy
jewelry, on branded clothing (sellouts) and
violent lyrics. FHC recognized the power of
hip-hop to uplift the youth. Which inspire
and support them heads along with concrete
facts and intelligent analysis about the
importance of education, avoiding into trouble
and making good decisions. In part of our
education, hip-hop stands as our motivator
and inspiration. So stay in school coz it is
the only key for your success. You had it all!
Thus, because of FH organization, we experienced
downright chemistry of friendship, we improve
our self image, know the value of life by
developing our talents to get busy rather than
losin our life into vices. That’s what Flipz
does; we’re cool of doing it. Something that
can be proud of..
In behalf of my partner, 2snak, co-founder
of the Filipino Hip-Hop Society, would like to
express our continuous support to the members
(vetz and neophytes) of the hip-hop organization
in Dumaguete City known as the Flip-Hop Crew.
It is an honor for me to stand with y’all in
continuing the organization’s existence, on
it’s 6 years on the scene. Though I wasn’t be
with y’all as my time has changed, facin the
challenges in life. But I’m gratified that
ther’s someone who can sit behind the table.
I’m so eminent of knowing KimixII and his team’s
effort of taking over the organization for this
year ‘04. In addition, I’m thanking to the
members for their cooperation, keepin FHC on
the run. So let it be known and continue the
artforms representation. Unfortunately, it’s
time for me to pass it on to any of you. To
continue what we have started, as you know
I can’t stay with y’all for me to handle the
organization. So many reasons to tell but one
thing for sure are my career. I have to move on..
I can’t take away the degree that brought me
here, and what I am now. But no matter what,
I still be hip-hop till my heart stops. Heads
up high coz I’m proud to be a part of it,
ain’t no lie coz we did it, heads saw the way
we kicked it. Word! Ironically, I can’t
break the ice easily. I’ve been bothered and
recalled the event of the FHC. I still missed
our shows but I can’t bring it back. Eiyyo!
For this remain true and I’ll promise y’all
keeping my fingers-crossed that I still on
y’all. I’ll never ever turns my back especially
during hardtimes. And I never forget y’all,
my brothaz and sistaz.
Now it’s ya opportunity to blow up! Make
use of your special talents coz it’s time to be
Y-O-U! Hope you could make it in the industry,
though it’s not our aim. Continue to diffuse
hip-hop in every corner. It is now ya
responsibility in bringing the organization
on it’s direction. But keep it real through
the guidelines from the FHC by-laws. Just want
to remind y’all to make sure of your neophytes
will not totally dump the word “loyalty” in the
dictionary. And also don’t just accept new
comers to our organization with out any insight
of his/her personality and his-her understandin
about the culture. So that you can control them
heads whom really concerned about the
organization’s mission. Because some of them
are just makin fun of the org. They just wanted to
join for the sake of the name. Either they will
use it for fame and money, knowwhatimsayin?
We learned from our past. So be aware of our
policies to keep you away from misunderstanding
and rivalry.
Till here just keep the peace! Keepin vices away,
express hip-hop everyday! See y'all by December.
Much luv...
DUB J
