"Hello Serena." She said as she met up with her, who was already in her Sailor suite. "Hello Heart." Heart frowned at her joy. "I was wondering, besides your crystal and scepter, what other powers do you have?" She said after a moment. Serena shrugged. "That’s it, I suppose." Heart tilted her head and stared at her in disbelief. "Well, we’re going to have to fix that. Let’s see." She said thoughtfully. "I’ve got it! I’ve never tried it since its not my power, but it should be yours. Moon Beams Entangle. It should work." Serena nodded excitedly. "Moon..Beams.....Entangle!" She shouted and raised her arms and six beams shot down around her and Serena swung her arms in twisting motions, sewing the strips of light together. Then the net flew to where she pointed and fell to the ground in a swift motion. "Wow!" was all Serena could say. Heart nodded her approval. "You handled that nicely. That should widen your powers a bit." Serena nodded and smiled. Heart was momentarily surprised. "I see that you haven’t been hanging around your friends. You’ve been hanging with yourself alot. Is there something wrong?" Heart asked. "No....it’s just that I don’t need them anymore." She said slowly. "Huh?" Heart said. "Well you said..." Serena started to whine. "No, I never said to totally ignore them. I said that this training was to help you stop relying on the others so much, not leave them alone. It’s not your nature to have no friends." She said at the end. "Yeah, well, you can’t go by my past either. It’s not in my nature to have no Derien either." Heart winced. "I see. Well it seems I was wrong. I want you to go ahead and begin hanging with them more, Serena. Until I say differently, no more training until I think you’re ready again." Serena pouted. "But you said that I was improving....." Heart stare d at her. "I know. But right now, your declining becuase you stopped working with the scouts. Just start becoming friends with them." Serena nodded. "Starting...." "Now." Heart finished for her. Serena gave her a blank look and changed back into Serena. Heart walked in front of her and know that Serena followed. In no time at all they reached the temple and already, Heart could feel that Derien was still there. She stopped and Serena stopped beside her. "Go on ahead." Serena looked at her strangely and began walking behind her a step behind. She knew the exact moment when she saw Derien, as she stiffened and stopped, five steps away. She backed up and Heart pushed her forward again. "Go on, Serena. What’s wrong?" She asked innocently. Serena turned and stared at her. "You knew and yet you brought me here. Why? Why did you trick me?" Heart closed her eyes and pushed her up another step. "Well, whatever you do, don’t runaway like a coward." She said, stepping away from behind her. Serena retreated to a lower stair, then stopped. "I’m no coward." She said in a whiny voice. She crossed her arms. "No matter what I think. I always said to face your fear. Well? Face it. Just because you asked me for my opinion and advice, doesn’t mean you can’t make your own decision. Now go!” She hissed in a whisper. Heart disappeared and laid on the roof, watching and only seen by, Serena. "Ugh." What do you want me to do, introduce you?, she thought into her head. Serena grimaced. She leaped from the roof in front of Derien. "Derien, I want to fix this before it goes beyond mend, but you act normal, okay? This isn’t about you right now. The scouts and her can’t split, even mentally." He nodded and turned around and saw the subtle astonishment in his eyes. She shook her head and stared ahead again. "Sorry, about this I mean. I guess I shouldn’t have interferred." She said. He opened his mouth to say something, then averted his eyes away from the stairs. "Hi guys." Serena said akward ly. "Hi Serena." Mina and Ami muttered, friendliest. "Hey." Said Lita. "Hi." Said Rei simply. "So how have you all been doing?" Serena continued. "Fine." Lita said. What am I doing?, Heart thought to herself. "I have to go." Heart said suddenly. Without another word, she dashed down the stairs past Serena. "Face your fear." She whispered. "But..." He reyes and mouth said. "Go." She pointed up the stairs. Serena didn’t move and anger filled Heart’s eyes. "Look. If you’re willing to succomb to you fears, then go ahead. All the lessons you worked on will go to waste. Now, shut up and walk up there as if you do that ever minute of the day. If you’re not a coward, I don’t know what is." She said angrily and didn’t regret it as she saw the hurt in her eyes. "Now go, coward, and prove to me that your worthy of learning my name! Now go, Rabbit!” She stormed off down the rest of the stairs and ran. ****************** "What am I doing?" She said to herself. "I must be crazy, caring for scouts. I’m not supposed to care." She continued to mumble. Countess appeared beside her. "What do you want?" She hissed at the black cloaked woman. "My, such hostility for someone who’s suposed to be on no one’s side." She purred. "I am on no one’s side." She argued. "Well it seems to me you favor the little Princess and her Prince. That sounds like a side to me." She said. Heart stiffened. "Never. I don’t care about anyone." She said. "Well prove it. Hurt the Sailor Moon to even the odds. Then ignore our fights. Continue to train tha Rabbit and you will regret it." She held up the ruby necklace she’d been given so long ago. Heart’s eyes drooped and nodded. A heartcracking laugh was all that could be heard. ****************** A monster plant leapted out of the temple’s trees and landed in front of the scouts. In that moment, the scouts and Sailor Moon appeared and faced the foe. Heart appeared behind it and sat on the wall. "Moon Beams Entangle!" Sailor Moon yelled before anyone could react. The monster looked up at the net falling down upon him and stood still. "Meteor Winds Destroy!" Heart yelled and the net disippated. "What was that, Sailor Moon?" Venus asked. Serena looked tearfully at the former trainer. "Why did you do that? Why did you knock away the net?" She asked in a depressed voice. Heart stood. "I’m so sorry, Serena. I have no choice." She pleaded. "Busher, go to it." She said to the plant. Vines reached out to encircle the scouts and grasped their necks and arms. Tuxedo Mask leapt behind her and grabbed her hands, wincing at the feelings that rushed into his body. "What are you doing?" He asked. She pulled away from his grasp and stared tearfully at him. "I am really sorry. I have no choice in this matter." She pleaded again. "Then call off the plant." He ordered. She shook her head. "No, I can’t do tha...." She looked at the scouts for a moment and saw the plant writhe back in pain as he was suddenly hit. A quick form dashed in and out between the vines and the scouts, slicing them all to pieces. The form stopped a moment and she saw him. "Gordan." She whispered. She jumped off the wall. "Gordan. My Gordan." The hazel eyes met her blue and purple ones and he frowned a moment. "My Sailor. Why are you doing this?" He asked. "I...No!" She shook her head. "Not again. I hate the pain I felt when you died. I’ve lived so long without you." He smiled for a moment then wore a sad expression. "They don’t need to be killed because of the pain you feel. Even Serena made you feel better." He argued. She covered her ears. "I won’t listen." She pouted. He disappeared and she felt a warmth on her shoulder. "Why? Because of the necklace? You know my heart’s always been with you." He said gently. She sighed. "I never felt you before." She complained. "My Sailor, you just never needed me as much before now. Save them." He said. She shivered. "Busher, go away." She whispered. "But the scouts..." He started. "Are no longer your concern. Now leave. I’ll deal with Countess later." He growled and disappeared. She stared at the space and took a step forward. "What have I done? I’ve betrayed my planet by breaking the peace and taken a side." She gasped. "Sailor friend, the side of good is the right side to protect." Gordan said. She turned. "But Trancom said......" He laughed. "You listened to that old fraud? I should have known that he would haunt us with his words. Where is the love I once saw in your glorious eyes and spirit. Senshi of vitality. My senshi." He moved toward her and hugged her from behind. "Oh, Gordan. I’ve lost so much I don’t think I deserve to be a senshi anymore..." He covered her mouth. "Shh. Don’t talk like that. You deserve it and more." She smiled weakly at him. "My love, I don’t think that I can return to my normal state. I’ve shut myself away for as long as I can remember. I don’t think I can be the girl you loved." Again he laughed. "Such talk of the past. You were the one who gives the galaxy it’s fun and spirit. I’ll always love you and I’ll always remember you." Her eyes twinkled in worry. "You’re leaving?" She asked. She pulled away from his embrace and turned to look at him. "I have to. I’m still dead and I can’t change that. Just remember what I said and I’ll always love you, even when time stops." He began disappearing. "No! I...Gordan!" He winked at her then disappeared totally. "Don’t you dare leave me." She whispered. She fell to her knees and cried. Something touched her shoulder. She stood and ran down the stairs. "No! I won’t have it." She said. "Wait! Heart!" Serena screamed, running after her. Heart stopped, not tired and waited for Serena. "What are you going to do, Heart?" She looked about and ignored Sailor Moon’s panting. "Call me Sailor Galaxy. That’s my dub, though I don’t own the galaxy." She looked about and screamed. "Ugh! You’re right. I don’t know where I’m going." She sat down and brought her knees up and laid her head in it. "I hate him, I hate him, I hate him! I hate love, I hate memory and I especially hate his stupid pranks." She cursed. She looked at her friend, now sitting beside her. "You’re lucky you adapt to not loving so easily. It took me from the Silver Millenium on to stop, while it took you a day." She said. "Who is this Gordan?" Serena asked, ignoring the other comment. "My childhood friend from Galaxial, my planet. We fell in love and one day, I came back and the planet was destroyed because I had been off exploring your moon and he died in my arms. I locked my heart and changed. It is true that I’m senshi of vitality." Serena cocked her head to the side. "Really? I would have never guessed..." Galaxy sighed. "I know. I locked my heart so tight, I couldn’t feel anything anymore. When I heard about you and Derien through your feelings, I felt sorry and helped you. I got carried away and went the wrong direction with you." "No, you taught me how to defend myself and even gave me a new power." The other scout complained. "But they were not to be taught in the way I taught it. By the way, your aim needs a little work. Even if that net had caught Busher, it would have been because of its speed." She stood, becoming passive once more and filled with depression. "I have to go now." She said and turned. She walked this time, listening to her hair brush against her skirt and her boots clank on the sidewalk. She stopped and looked ahead of her. "Who’s that?" She asked suddenly. Serena, already changed back, stood and looked. Reenie had stopped several feet away. "Do I know you?" The little, pink haired girl asked. Heart’s eyes glowed white for a moment then shook her head. "Oh, another one of you. No, I don’t know you, daughter of the future. We’ve never met." She shook her head again, as if to clear it. She continued walking and brushed past the little girl with the floating cat ball. Reenie turned to stare at her. "Who is that Serena?" She asked, blinking. "The Sighful Sailor. The one I think who suffers most of her past." Was Serena’s answer. ****************** Countess appeared in her darkness and one of her servents appeared in front of her, already kneeling. "You’re sure ‘twas Gordan who interferred?" The other’s eyes glowed white and he nodded. "That may just come to of use to us. Her only weakness is his love and disappearence. You may speak." She hissed. The other nodded his head. "Yes, I remember seeing her fall to her knees and cry when he disappeared again. Then she vowed never to care again." He confirmed. "Good. I wonder what were to happen if she killed someone she thought was Gordan? A nice thought to caress. Yes, I like it. Do you have a warrior to portray this plan and be sure that it succeeds, one who will actually die if need be?" She asked him again. He nodded. "Mystero. He is that warrior you speak of." He answered. trumfelt@sprynet.com
