Enjoy!!! ______________________________ The Sighful Scout: Derien was out on his normal run when she saw Serena leaning against the wall, looking up at the evening sky in her school outfit. "Hi Serena." He said akwardly. She stared at him a moment then he felt the same anger as before. "What do you want?" She said. "SerenaI, I.... He started but she had shut her eyes and ran off. He followed her and kept at a corner as she pressed a button on a strange wand. A girl with knee length hair appeared in a black and white scout outfit with a tiny heart in her tiara. "What is it, Serena? Something wrong? I wasn’t expecting to be called until later." She frowned in her cool and emotionless voice. Her odd colored eyes stared at her a moment then grimaced a bit. "Something to do with Derien? Thought so. I told you what I felt already. It’s your own decision to do this. You can stop anytime you want." The girl shook her head in dismay. "No, I want to go through with this. You’re right, I was stupid to count on others for my strength, I should be counting on myself." She said sniffling. The ebony haired girl shook her head. "I never said...." "No, but you implied it. You just said it a different way. Heart, I need to take my mind off of him." The other girl dubbed Heart shrugged. “What do you want me to do? I don’t exactly have a task list for you to complete." The other girl frowned. "I.....want to train again." Heart shook her head and stared at her. "You want to what? How? It’s too soon to reach such a new level after the first fight yesterday. The next lesson needs a monster for you to fight." She opened her hands in innocence. "I don’t exactly have any monsters for you to fight." She finished. Serena looked at her with a pitiful glance. Heart sighed. "Fine. I have an idea of how to get one." She looked meaningfully at her. "But can you try it alone. I mean, I’ll be there to see that he doesn’t get the upper hand or nothing but, can you? Without the scouts?" She asked curiously. Serena nodded sadly and Heart’s eyelids drooped. "Follow me, Princess." She said and began walking down an alley and Serena carefully followed her. Derien pursued them also. Heart continued walking, her boots rimmed with white until she reached the end where she bent down observingly. "What are you look...." "Shh!" She said. With a great lunge, she rushed for a rat, bigger than any she’d ever seen. The rat struggled and squirmed and grew in size. "Let go of me! Stupid Scout." The thing muttered. His tail lashed about. "This is Raturk. He was ordered to spy on you, but being the rat he is, he paid no mind and forgot about it." She explained for Sailor Moon. "How’d you know that?" The rat asked. Its questing red eyes poked about. "Never mind. I don’t want you to destroy him though. He’s just a rat and it will teach you how to control yourself. Just heal him...." She started then her eyes saw Derien then nodded slightly. "And you’ll practice your fighting skills." She leaped up onto the roof and Sailor Moon quickly followed. "Moon Crystal Power!" Serena yelled and once more was in a Sailor suite. The rat man justed stared at them. "Fight, Raturk. Or else you’ll deal with Countess and she won’t be happy." She threatened after a moment. The rat squeeled and lunged for Sailor Moon. "Wha....Ummph!" As she was knocked over. Th rat’s claws reached for her face and Sailor Moon screamed. "Don’t just lay there! Do something!" Heart barked. Serena nodded and kicked the rat off. She quickly flipped to her feet and ran at the rat. The man had stood and disappeared after seeing her form. Sailor Moon slid and fell at the sudden movement. Behind her, claws pushed her. She rolled to the side and knocked to rat off her back. Again she stood. He turned his anger filled red eyes at her and bared his sharp fangs. "Eeeww! Look at those fangs." Serena momentarily hesitated and at that moment, the rat struck her with his tail. She landed on the ground and closed her eyes. With sudden malice she cracked them open and stared at the frightened rat. "No, I’m not going to succomb to let the scouts or..." She hesitated for a single second. "Or Tuxedo Mask save me anymore. In the name of the moon, your going to be taught a lesson." She said. She twirled around and struck the oncoming rat. He laid on the floor. "Moon Healing Activation!" She yelled. The rat shrunk inside and when he awoke, it dashed down a pipe. Heart leaped in joy. "Great. Now you understand the lessons. You can really handle yourself." She said then frowned. "But, Raturk was a weakling and a coward and is not any real example of fighting. But you overcame your fear." She smiled at the last. Sailor Moon looked at the spot. "You mean I did good?" She said after a moment. "I did it. And I did it without Tuxedo Mask or the scouts." Heart nodded and walked over to her. "Go home and do your homework or something." She murmured. Sailor Moon, now Serena, rushed over the roof top and leaped down. Heart stood there a moment and continued to stare at the shadow. "Come out, Derien." She said after a moment. The black haired man came out. "I’m Heart or have you already heard?" She continued. "Why are you telling Serena this?" Heart was surprised. "I’m not telling her anything, Derien. I’m only putting into words what she only feels." She narrowed her eyes at him. "I don’t understand why these dreams affect you so." She said and his eyes also narrowed. "How did you know? About the dreams I mean." He said. "I already told Raturk it was none of his buisness what I know or how I know it. You blame me for her coldness, but it seems to me its you that should be blamed." She said with equal hostility. "How?" She crossed her arms. "I know you still love her, for one." She said with assurence. "Oh, and how do you know that?" He asked. "Easy. You wouldn’t be so hostile to me if you weren’t and you radiate it when you save her. I also know how to feel love and pain. I relate to Serena. My planet was destroyed all those years ago...." She closed her eyes and when she re-opened them, they were hard again. "Anyway, I don’t care what you do. Save her, kill her, hate her, or love her. No difference to me. My job is not to have a job." She growled. He was surprised for a moment. "Then why are you doing this?" She looked ar him, at a loss. "I honestly haven’t a clue. It feels right though." She turned and leaped down. "Good bye Derien. I hope we have this chat again." *************** "An unamed Sailor? You’re sure?" Jupiter asked Derien. Derien felt the anger in himself. "Yes. From what I can see, she’s a Sailor, but seems to like to keep to herself her name. All she said was that her planet was destroyed. I also think that she’s the one influencing Serena." Luna and Artimis stared at each other and came up empty handed. "I’m sorry, scouts. We don’t remember this scout of black and white. I don’t think that Serenity ever mentioned it to us." Artimis said sighfully. "Yes, Artimis is right. She doesn’t seem evil, but if she’s causing Serena to act like this, we can’t trust her." Derien clenched his teeth. "She told me that she wasn’t causing her to do any of those things. She kept hinting that its Serena’s personal decision and from what I heard, Heart does nothing to encorage her hatred. She just gives her advice to her questions." Derien said. "Well, I think Serena trusts her whole heartedly." Lita stated. "Well, Serena would trust anyone that seems to be helping her after...." Rei said then looked away from Derien. "Anyway, its no surprise that Serena trusts her." Rei finished. "I see." Derien said. "This is interesting." Ami said, looking at her computer. "What?" Mina sai, looking over her shoulder. "Serenity may not have told Luna and Artimis about Heart but’s there’s some information about her." She showed Derien the picture and he nodded that it was Heart. "Her powers are unmeasured and it says that she’s the Princess of a planet that didn’t belong to the Silver Millenium, but doesn’t say which or where. It says that their Princess is very allusive and left the planet. It says that she’s a senshi but doesn’t say of what. I don’t suppose you’ve seen any of her powers, Derien?" Ami said hopefully. He shook his head. "Never and I don’t think Serena has seen any either. All I’ve seen her do is train Serena." He said. "Well this Heart seems to have alot of information withheld, though I still don’t understand why she seems so sad." Mina added. "Well that’s none of your buisness Venus." Said someone from the stairs. They saw the girl they spoke of standing there. Ami looked down at her computer and began typing in it. "Don’t try and get a reading on me, Ami. You won’t. That’s why it isn’t in your computer." She stated. "Well, I guess that’s logical." Mercury said, closing her computer. "As for why I’m sad, you would be too. You seem all so very suspicious of me and I don’t know why." She said in a confused way. "Well for one thing, you don’t seem to be fighting with us or against us." Jupiter stated. Heart smiled. "In the Silver Millenium, your Planets asked me the very same question. I don’t because my planet never took a side and I won’t either. I’d just rather to have a world to wander than none, as the Negamoon wants." Rei stood and stamped over to her. "Why are you telling Serena these things?" The odd eyes of the scout glittered for a moment. "I don’t see why not. I’m helping the Princess through a bad time with life. As such is my being. If you don’t mind, I believe she’s happier than she has been." Rei was angered by the inconclusive answers. "Well, she doesn’t hang out with us anymore and she likes to be alone. How can that be right?" Heart stared at her and just looked calmly. Out of no where, Rei slapped her. Heart’s hand lifted to hold the place where a red mark appeared. She retreated a step and her hand dashed back to grab her silver staff. "I understand now. I had had doubts before but not anymore." Her eyes were even sadder than before and Rei went back a step in confusion. "Huh?" She said. Heart leaned against her pole, letting the end fall on the ground. "I said that I understand why Serena is willing to listen now. Not because you slapped me either. I personally think that ought to get anybody back to their senses. If you’ll excuse me, I have to give Serena another training lesson." She turned and felt something grabher arm. Almost immediatly, the hand let go. She turned her head to see Derien. “You didn’t answer Rei’s question." He asked angrily, staring at his hand. "What question?" She asked curiously. “Why do you think Serena being alone all the time helps her." He answered. She nodded and moved down a step. "Good theory. Does being alone help Serena or not? I shall have to think that one over. Meanwhile, I have a lesson training to get to." She bowed and went down the remaining steps. "What happened Derien?" Rei asked him. He was pale and his hand shuddered slightly. "When I touched her, I felt pain, loss, and coldness, an emptiness." He said. "How odd." Ami said. "I think that we can trust her, to a point." He said after some hesitation. "Why?" Jupiter asked. He looked at the tall girl. "I don’t know why. But I can see why Serena feels she can trust her. No wonder she doesn’t seem to enjoy anything. All those emotions I felt! They were so uncomfortable. I think she’s telling the truth." He said. "But she hasn’t given us any real information." Venus argued. "I know, but when she does say something, I think its the truth." He said. ******************* "Princess Celeste! Oh, where are you?" Somone yelled. A girl appeared in front of him, dressed in a tight black rimmed dress on white. "What is it, Trancom? I want to go on an adventure!" The girl said happily. "Oh Princess! When will you ever learn? You’re a disgrace. You’re the only Princess I know that knows how to beat a fighting trainer and go beyond the teachings of your power teacher." He complained, his white hair in a mess. "No, the royalty of the Moon..." She started but a stern look cut her off. "They are no concern of yours, Celeste. Now go off and don’t go running off with that servent boy again." She grimaced and straightened her dress. "Alright! I’m going, I’m going." She said and ran off down the hall. She turned to the opposite path and ran right into Gordan. "Gordan! How have you been?" She giggled and helped him up. He grimaced. "Hello Princess. I was just going to find you." She laughed again and his eyes twinkled, an array of colors. "Well, you found me. Where shall we go today?" Full of excitment, being so close to Gordan and naturally mischievious. "You’re sure that we can? I mean, I don’t think Trancom will be too ignorant to let us pass by again." He frowned. "You’re scared." She accused after a moment. "Never! I would think that you would be the one scared. Being locked up in this palace all the time. You haven’t even seen the dangers I’ve seen." He puffed and blushed as she moved toward him and pushed him back. "Most of them which were with me." She said. She crossed her arms and was filled with love and happiness. He smiled childishly and pushed her down. "Hey! Why you...." She leaped up and chased after him. He laughed playfully. Taunted by this, she used her energy and began running faster, but the restraint of her drass kept her from doing so. "Oh bother!" Without thinking, she transformed into her suite which she wasn’t allowed to wear. He disappeared and she stopped. Laughing, she too blipped away and dashed about the asteroid belt. Seeing a flack of black and silver, she dashed after it and knocked him down. He stared evilly at her and she took off. "I’ll get you!" He threatened. "Never!" She yelled back, dashing between the rocks. He stopped and looked at her worriedly. "I’ll be back in an hour! My leader’s calling me." She nodded and saw him disappear and felt the hole in her heart. Curious, she peeked about the moon, after leaving the belt and saw the majesty of it. After the hour was up, she heard a large flash of light and a boom. She blipped into the asteroid belt and saw the remains of her planet. "Noo!" she screamed and dashed between the ruble. Laying underneath a rock was her Gordan. "Gordan!" She pleaded and whined. Dashing there, she knelt there and rested his head on her lap. "Celeste......." He gasped. His hand reached up and placed a neckalce in her hand. She placed the ruby heart around her neck and felt the golden chain against her skin. "What happened?" She asked. No answer. "I love you. Don’t forget me, okay?" He murmured weakly and his hand fell from her gloved hands. Her eyes sparkled. "Gordan, no. Gordan!" She cried. He stopped breathing. She didn’t know how long she slept next to him, but when she awoke, her heart felt cold and black. Her eyes hardened and she promised herself never to love again. Not to have this pain in her body again. The joy left her body and she became sad and depressed. "If I hadn’t been so excited, I could’ve staid and saved my home. My love! No! Never again." She laid the head down and with a sigh of regret, she reappeared in the asteroid belt, where she hid and watched. trumfelt@sprynet.com
