There will always be difficulties when transcribing any none romanised language into English, concerning the Ryukyuan phrases and words listed below I have tried as accurately as possible to convey the nuance of the language but as I could only rely on a small number of Okinawan friends to check accuracy realize it may not be as accurate as it could be. Also bear in mind that within Okinawa there are distinct differences in vocabulary and pronunciation from area to area.
