"Oh, really?" Duo repeated grinning, as he sidled to the other side of the book shelf. 'This was too perfect!'

The Chinese boy looked at him in amusement.

"Then you must be my partner. Wufei Chang?" Duo asked the boy who nodded in return. "Well, my name's Duo. Duo Maxwell. And, let me tell you that I'm very happy that you're my partner." He offered the boy his hand.

"And you can call me Wufei," the boy said softly, returning the hand shake.

Duo suddenly felt as if he was in heaven. Astronomy might be a boring subject but at least he had a partner to work with.

And what a good-looking partner........

He must of been standing there grinning like a idiot for Wufei cocked his head to one side and moved his lips, asking him about something.

"Huh?" Duo shook his head.

"I said,'Is anything wrong?"

"Wrong?" Duo laughed good-naturedly,"Oh! Nothing's wrong!! Ha ha! I was just....thinking! Yeah...thinking..."

'Great! Now I sound like an idiot!'

Wufei looked at him for awhile."So.....do you want to start on our research now or tomorrow?"

Duo smiled,"Oh now's fine! Ha ha! I mean, it's always better to start early!" Wufei offered a smile when he heard this. Duo mentally congratulated himself.

'Sigh. Anything just to be with you!'

Wufei gave him another small smile before he walked away to a nearby table and chairs, book in hand. Duo followed after him, a blissful smile on his handsome face as he watched the graceful way Wufei walked and also looking downwards.

'Nice legs...nice butt.....sigh!'

"What do you think of the subject?" Wufei asked, once both of them sat comfortably.

"Huh? Oh, the subject?! Ha ha!! Ummm...well, I do think astronomy is great. I mean it is one of my favorite subjects and all. Looking at the stars and the skies is a great hobby of mine!!" Duo lied.

"Really?" Wufei looked at him closely, one slender eyebrow arched. His face was so close to Duo's, that Duo could feel both of their breaths mingling together. Wufei continued,"Well then. You and I have a common interest...." Before Duo could respond, Wufei turned his face away and began organizing their materials, a red tinge spreading across his caramel cheeks.

Duo blinked when he saw this. 'Kawaii!'

Grinning flirtatiously, he inched his face closer to Wufei.

"Yeah? Well......." Before he could finish, a nasal voice interrupted him.

"Wufei! I hope you're ready. The guy's are waiting for you outside by the parking lot."

Both Wufei and Duo turned around at the same time to see a boy looking arrogant with his arms crossed in front of his leather clad chest, dark brown hair messed up in the front. It was the same boy that pulled Wufei away at lunch time.

Now he was smiling at Wufei ignoring Duo completely.

"Heero! I didn't know you were coming here. I thought we were going to meet at the main building.," Wufei said.

The boy called Heero shrugged,"I didn't want you to walk all the way there so I thought of coming to pick you up here."

Wufei looked at Duo apologetically," Gomen, Duo. Maybe we can start tomorrow?"

Duo nodded but deep inside he felt like punching the smirking idiot standing in front of them. "Hai," he smiled.

Wufei gave him another smile before he turned to the boy called Heero,"Could you wait for a minute? My stuff is at the front desk." Heero nodded, smiling nicely.

With that, Wufei got up and walked away from the two boys who were still looking at him.

Once he made sure Wufei was out of sight, Heero turned to Duo and snarled, grabbing Duo by the collar and pulling him towards him.

"Hey, punk! I know what the hell is going on through your mind and if you ever think of going near Wufei again, I'll bust your head!!"

Duo looked annoyed before he pried Heero's hands away from his collar. "Look who's the punk....and I didn't even touch you!! And what gives you the idea that I'm after Wufei?"

Heero sneered at Duo," From the leers you sent him, idiot! I want you stay away from Wufei. Got that? HE'S MINE!!"

Duo snorted before he replied angrily," Look buddy, I know for a fact that Wufei ain't nobody's and he certainly ain't yours. As for staying away from him, I don't think that's possible since I'm his partner. WE'RE PARTNERS." He looked at Heero square in the face. "Which MEANS, we spend a lot of time TOGETHER," he added to piss Heero off.

If he was looking for a reaction, then he certainly did a good job.

Heero's face was so red with fury and anger that Duo thought he saw steam rising from his head.

"Why you..."

"Is everything alright?" A familiar voice spoke up. The two boys swivelled around to see Wufei standing, one hand on his waist and the other holding his back-pack. A little frown was sketched on his face.

"Oh, everything's alright!! Nothing to worry about!!" Duo replied cheerfully.

Heero straightened up and walked to Wufei, acting like nothing happened between him and Duo. "So...ready to go?" He smiled charmingly at Wufei. Wufei smiled back.

"Yeah."

"Great!"

As Heero and Wufei were nearing to the library's exit, Wufei turned around to look at Duo. When he caught his eye, Wufei smiled apologetically before pulled away by a roaring-mad Heero.Smiling, Duo could feel the warmth that Wufei's smile gave him and also the warmth from Heero's deadly, red-hot glare.
