"Whoohooo!!!" Duo shouted excitedly as he ran out of the forgotten classroom.'Thank god school has ended!'

"Geez Duo, you don't have to shout that loud," said the nearby Quatre who had the misfortune of standing next to Duo. 'Better take that hearing aid just in case.' Quatre thought.

"But Quatre, it's another end of a boring school day!! Now, we can party all night long!!" Duo cheered as he swung his arm around his good buddy. Quatre sighed good naturedly as he followed Duo. 'I better stop dreaming of getting this year's valedictorian award if I hang out with Duo!'

Here's my story and

The story Goes~

"Ohayo Trowa! Hey Quatre!" Duo waved as he sauntered to where his friends and classmates were seated. The two boys acknowledged him and moved around the table to make place for their friend. Duo plopped down on the offered seat and began eating his food.

"Hey, Nuriko. You eating that?" Duo pointed at his classmate's uneaten apple pie. Nuriko grimaced as he pushed the pie to the hungry Duo,

" Here take it. God knows what the cooks did to it." (1)

"Hey thanks!!"

As his friends began talking about their stupid teachers, how sucky the school was and who likes who, Duo let his gaze wander around the open air cafeteria. He chuckled as he saw two jocks menacing a poor nervous student for money. "Hmm..some people just don't learn.' he mused. He was about to ask Quatre about lending him money when he saw something that caught his eye.

Seated in a table far across from him, a boy with the darkest eyes Duo had ever seen was picking at his lunch while listening to his friends talking about an animated subject judging from the speaker. Duo could feel his jaw drop as he stared at the mysterious boy, admiring the way the boy's golden bronze skin, his sleek jet black hair and the grace in his movements.

As though knowing he was being watched, the boy lifted his head and raised his eyes to meet Duo's. They were dark, either dark brown or black as the two boys stared at each other. Violet meeting with dark brown,both pairs refusing to back down or turn away.

"Duo...Duo...I said DUO!!" Quatre frowned as he realised he didn't have Duo's outmost attention. He looked closely at Duo's face and realised that Duo had a blissful, magical look on his face. "Hey,"Quatre waved a hand in front of Duo's face. Still nothing. Wanting to see what was capturing Duo's attention for so long, Quatre followed Duo's gaze to where he saw a bunch of teenage boys with leather jackets either worn or slinged onto the chairs. The boy who had captured Duo's gaze was staring back at Duo, while his friends were vying for his attention.

"Hmmm...'Quatre mused amused.

Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, a Japanese youth came up to the table and seemed to be talking to the Chinese boy. Noticing that he didn't have the Chinese boy's attention which of course were still on Duo, the boy followed his gaze and rested abruptly on Duo and Quatre.

The Japanese boy with dark messy hair looked unhappy for a moment then glared at Duo. If looks could kill, Duo would have been in the mortuary with a knife stuck up his *ahem*. The boy then stepped in front of the Chinese boy to block his view and began whispering in his ear.

Duo craned his neck to get a better view but all he could see was the annoying boy's back. From his view, Quatre could see the Chinese boy agreeing to whatever the stoic boy was saying.

To Duo's dismay, the Japanese boy tugged at the Chinese boy's hand and led him away from the cafeteria. As most of the somewhat gang were standing and leaving, the Chinese boy turned his head and catching Duo's sight, smiled.

The smile left Duo happy for the rest of the day.

(1) In my old school, the cooks would leave a little surprise for the students and even teachers to find. *shudder* yech. Once, it was a little lizard in the spaghetti. The teacher just looked at it and........ Okay, no more.
