Disclaimer: I don't own any Gundam Characters ::sobs:: so don't sue me. Not only would it be a waste of your time which could probably be spent doing better things (if you don't have anything better to do I suggest that you seek help), it would also be a waste of your money (because I don't have any). I do however own all original characters. Including but not limited to Arianna Hurri, Kurria Dennison, Andrew Hurri, and more to come....... That's enough rambling on with the story.......

Lost

Chapter 1

Aleara

"I won’t give up. I will get to the Gundam Pilots. I will get them to help me." She screamed as her Mobile Suit was jarred, tossed, and thrown through space. Her Mobile Suit was completely useless, but she was so close. "Peace Million..... please..... Peace Million..... come in..... please me........" She screamed again, as her mobile suit was shot from behind. She was thrown into the control panel. She blacked out.

The young pilot awoke to the sound of clanking metal. Her head was spinning, the noises was so loud. She opened her eyes slowly, letting them adjust in the dark room. She sat up, willing the noise and the pain to leave her body. She got up and found her pilot’s suit and hat on a chair next to the bed. She removed the bandages from around her arms and head. Her legs were fine except for a couple of scratches and bruises.

She made her way out of the room quietly to avoid detection. She wasn’t sure if she was in enemy territory or not. She pulled her hat low over her eyes keeping her long brown hair hidden as well. Now where is my Mobile Suit? The metal clanking grew louder and was joined by men’s voices and other machinery. She cracked the door open and peered into a large hanger. There! Her Mobile Suit was totally trashed. Man, now what do I fight with? And more importantly how do I get home? She closed the door, the noise was giving her a headache. She continued down the hall trying to figure out where she was. She opened another door and gasped.

The Gundams! Wow! So she was on friendly territory. She opened the door and walked in. No one was around. I never thought I’d see a Gundam up close like this before! Huh? Someone was coming. There was no place to hide. She dove behind one of the Gundams and watched the door. Five young men entered the hanger. The Gundam Pilots! She looked up at the Gundam she was hiding behind, trying to figure out which one it was. She looked back at the pilots. Wait, there were only four standing there. Behind her. Too late. She struggled to get free, but it was no use.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?"

She didn’t answer. He dragged her out from behind the Gundam still struggling. She was thrown hard to the ground. Again the voice asked her the same questions. She just lay there. A booted foot hit her hard in the side. That was it! She hadn’t come here to be beaten by the very people she thought were her allies. She stood up straight, but wouldn’t look at the pilots.

"They call me the Dark Angel." She removed her hat to reveal her brown hair, that fell to her mid-back.

"A girl." The young man who had found her seemed surprised.

"Yes, a girl," she said mocking him. She looked up at them, her usually light blue eyes were quite dark. "And in answer to you second question: I’m looking for you." The boy she had been arguing with had dark eyes and messy brown hair. "So what do they call you?" She had a sarcastic tone in her voice that the boy did not like.

"If you were looking for me, than why don’t you know my name?" He looked at her skeptically.

"All I know is that me and nine others were supposed to find the Gundam Pilots. You are a Gundam Pilot aren’t you?" She returned his skeptical look. "So what do you want me to call you? Kid 1, Kid 2, Kid 3, Kid 4, and Kid 5 or do you have names?......... What are you looking at?"

"I’ve never seen a girl with such a bad temper before," replied the long haired pilot.

"You haven’t been around have you?"

He felt chilled just by the tone in her voice, but introduced himself nonetheless. "Duo," he said.

"What?" She seemed to have no idea what he was talking about.

"I’m Duo, Duo Maxwell. Pilot of the Deathscythe."

"I’m not stupid. I heard you the first time, but you have quite akward timing for introducing yourself."

"Lighten up," came a voice from off to the side.

She turned to face him. "Lighten up.... Lighten up. How much have you lost today, kid?"

He lifted his head to her, his hair covering his left eye. "Not much, but we don’t know what you’ve lost either, so you can’t get at us. Anyway this conversation doesn’t seem to be getting us anywhere, so how about introductions? I’m Trowa, Trowa Barton. That’s WuFei," he was pointing to a young oriental man. "And you’ve already met Heero." He pointed off in the direction of the young man that had attacked her. "And that’s...."

"Quatre. Quatre Rebarba..." the young haired boy started.

"Winner?" she looked at him. A sudden look of happiness and surprise crossed her face. She gasped. It couldn’t be.

"How did you know my name?"

"Quatre....?" She pulled herself together. "Nice of you to write or call or use some form of communication."

"If I knew who you..." he stopped. "Arianna?"

"Ari," she retarted.

"Arianna Hurri?"

"Dark Angel."

"Whoa, you two know each other?" Duo broke in.

Ari rolled her eyes. "No, moron, lucky guess."

Quatre didn’t seem to be interested in their side conversation. "I thought you were dead."

"Me? Dead? Where did you get that fool idea? I thought you were dead."

"What about the Feds? How did you hide for so long?"

Duo was still intently listening to their conversation.

"I didn’t hide. Why would I?"

"What did you do then?"

"Fought. I design and make my own Mobile Suits. I only hide when I sleep. Otherwise, I out killing Feds, saving people from the Feds. That sort of thing. Besides, there are too many people hiding already, we don’t need anymore cowards. There are too many cowards and not enough people to fight."

"Are there others fighting with you?"

Ari thought about this for a minute. There were others, but none of the Gundam pilots would like her answer, she was sure of it. "There are others fighting. I don’t know them all, but there are others."

Duo was very happy about their reunion, but he was going to fall asleep. "I’d love to see you two skip down memory lane, but why were you sent to find us?"

"I’m getting to that..... Look, don’t piss me off, Ki... Duo. I’m just warning you now."

"Warning me?" Duo seemed surprised.

"Duo, I really wouldn’t make her mad." Quatre seemed to be seriously warning Duo.

"Why are you warning me?" Duo still didn’t get it.

"Because if you don’t watch it, I’ll kick your ass. That’s why." Ari was genuinely trying to watch her temper.

"You.... you kick my ass!" Duo had begun to laugh by now and Arianna was counting to try and calm herself.

"THAT’S IT!" Ari looked up, her eyes were almost pitch black. "I’m sick of people thinking I’m weak because I’m a girl."

"Ari, calm down." Quatre almost whispered.

"I am calm. I’m just sticking up for myself." She was almost screaming. "And now," Ari turned to Duo," I’m going to kick your ass." She charged and, just as she expected, he ducked. She jumped, the lack of gravity did not seem to phase her. Duo stood up thinking she was going to stay in mid-air for a while. He looked up..... at a small foot coming straight at his face.

Duo fell to the ground, sliding to a stop at the foot of one of the gundams. He looked up, Ari was walking away, her back turned to him. Duo’s eyes bad begun to turn almost as dark as Ari’s had been.

Ari’s eyes were almost their natural baby blue when she was tackled from behind.

"I won’t be defeated by a girl."

"Fine. Then, don’t think of me as a girl, think of me as my namesake, the Dark Angel..... Death." Ari’s voice had a calm, evil sound in it. She turned, using her feet to launch the pilot into the air.

Duo landed on his feet, but Ari was right there. She spun in a ow kick on the ground, stealing Duo’s feet from under him. Duo hit the ground hard and felt a foot fall below his neck.

"Ari, stop." Quatre had a firmness in his voice Ari was sure he had acquired only in this time of war. She turned to him. His blue eyes were soft as if he had never yelled. Her own eyes, despite her futile efforts, grew soft and fell towards the ground. They closed and she turned from the pilots, walking past the Gundams and out the door.

"So much for finding help here," she said. Her voice was cold, but calm.

Ari moved down the hall with cat like abilities.

"How do you plan to get home?" Ari turned and looked into the bright violet eyes of Duo.

She stepped back startled. "I’ll fix my Gu... Mobile Suit." She scolded herself. She had almost given everything away. Those eyes, bright and free, the eyes of a mere child. He had no idea what she was doing, or why she was really here.

"Won’t that take you a while?"

"Maybe. But if I’m not disturbed you’d be surprised how fast I can work." Ari let her guard down slightly.

"Are you hungry?" Duo had a smile that stretched from ear to ear. Despite the recent circumstances, Ari was laughing inside, but she wouldn’t let Duo see that. She smiled slightly. He looked so funny.

"Well, now that you mention it.... I am a little hungry." Ari had almost forgotten how long ago she had eaten. Now that she thought about it, depending on how long she had been out, she hadn’t eaten for at least 24 hours before her mission.

"Come on," Duo called, as he disappeared around a corner.

"Huh?" Ari was jolted from her train of thought. "Oh..... I’m coming. I’m coming."
