"Wufei! What are you doing?" Quatre asked as he walked into the kitchen. Wufei was sitting at the table with Kay eating from his plate.

"Look Winner, I didn't want to wake anyone up. She was giving me this look like she would cry if I didn't give her any of my rice cakes." Wufei explained. Kay handed Wufei one of the rice cakes. "Thank you."

"But she shouldn't be eating solids yet. She's only three weeks old." Quatre said.

"Actually, she's almost a month and it's about time she ate solids. It means she's more Myrian than human. Soon she'll be walking and talking." Kai said as she walked into the kitchen and pet Kay on the head.

"You mean to tell me that Myrian children are almost fully developed at one month?" Quatre asked. Kai shook her head.

"It takes less than a month. I was already a diplomat when I was her age. She's just developing slowly. Don't worry about it, Quatre. Besides, she was eating solids fine last night." Kai explained.

"What did you feed her?" Quatre asked. Kai blushed slightly.

"I really didn't feed her. Heero was trying to eat some dounuts and Kay got into the chocolate ones." Kai said. Quatre laughed and shook his head.

"That sorta explains why the sink was soapy." Quatre said. Kai yawned and sat down.

"Are you still sleepy?" Wufei asked. Kai shook her head.

"No. I'm fine." Kai said.

"Good morning all." Duo said happily as he walked into the kitchen. Kay smiled as Duo picked her up and put her on his shoulders.

"Morning Duo. Where's Heero?" Kai asked. Duo smiled and looked at Kai.

"He's still sleeping. I guess someone kept him up late last night." Duo said. Kay laughed. Duo headed out of the kitchen.

"Where are you going, Duo?" Quatre asked.

"We're going to watch some tv. Right, Kay?" Duo said. Kay clapped her hands. Duo continued out to the livingroom and sat down at the tv.

"Maxwell seems better." Wufei said. Kai nodded her head.

"Perhaps Kay can cure Duo without thinking." Kai said to herself.

Heero stumpled out of his room around three in the afternoon. He noticed that neither Kai, Duo or Kay was in the house. Heero walked into the kitchen and poured himself a cup of coffee. Quatre watched as Trowa and Wufei played chess.

"Stayed up late last night, Heero?" Trowa asked. Heero nodded.

"Yeah. I didn't want Kai to wake up so I feed Kay last night." Heero said. Quatre looked up at Heero and shook his head.

"Next time you give her a bath, clean up the sink too. There was soap all over." Quatre said.

"It wasn't my fault she got chocolate all over the place. Plus she splashed water too. I think she's got a little more Duo in her than we think." Heero said. Quatre laughed. "Where's Kai, Duo and Kay?"

"The three of them went into the city. Duo wanted to take Kay to go see a puppet show." Trowa said. Heero groaned.

"Why couldn't they have woken me up?" Heero grumbled to himself. He sat down at the kitchen table next to Quatre. Quatre was making a new photo album for Kay. There were a few picture already in there. Heero picked up one of the baby pictures of her.

"Heero?" Quatre asked. Heero looked at the picture of the little baby. She seemed so happy and so unaware of what kind of life she was going to have. Quatre put a hand on Heero's shoulder.

"Hm, do you think Kai will mind if I keep this picture?" Heero asked. Quatre smiled and shook his head.

"I think she wanted all of us to have one. That little girl is like a star to all of us." Quatre said.

"Yeah. Too bad she was born now. She could have been a great help." Wufei said. The others looked at Wufei questionably.

"What do you mean, Wufei?" Quatre asked.

"If she had been born after the war, we would have been together all this time to be with Maxwell." Wufei said. Trowa nodded his head.

"Or maybe Duo wouldn't be dying. That's an if, Wufei. She wasn't and this is the life that she's suppose to have." Trowa said. Quatre nodded.

"Yeah, lets just be glad that we're all here together to see all of this." Quatre said.

Kai laughed as Kay let Duo have some of her ice cream. Well, if having the ice cream up your nose is having some, then that's what she was doing. Duo laughed and wiped the ice cream off his nose. Kay laughed as Duo tried to clean off the ice cream off of her. She just kept on smearing it all over the place. Kai picked up Kay and looked the little girl in the eyes.

"I know that you like making messes, but you need to learn how to stay clean for more than five minutes." Kai said.

"Come on, Kai. You're being hard on the little one. I use to make huge messes all the time." Duo said. Kai looked to the braid baka.

"What do you mean, use to? You still make big messes." Kai pointed out. Duo blushed slightly and took Kay from Kai.

"Ok. You're right." Duo said. Kai laughed as Kay hit Duo with the ice cream again.

"I think it's time to go back. The both of you need a bath." Kai laughed. Duo laughed as the walked back to the car.

The three had spent most of the day exploring the colony's cities. It was the first time that Kay had really seen the city. She and Duo saw the city on the tv, but Duo wanted her to see it in person. He knew that his time with his daughter was going to come to an end soon, so he wanted to do everything he could with her.

Heero was sitting on the couch watching tv. He had been feeling lonely all day without the three of them there. He knew he was going to have a hard time when Duo dies, but he just could stand to be without both Kay and Kai. It was so strange to him, but then he had just learned to understand what love was as well. Suddenly there was laughter coming from the door and Kai and Duo, with Kay on his shoulders, walked in. Kai rolled her eyes and took Kay off Duo's shoulders.

"It's time for your bath." Kai said. She looked to Heero. "Perhaps you need to give him a bath too. Most of the mess Kay made is on Duo." Kai took Kay into the bathroom and started to run a bath. Duo laughed and blushed slightly.

"What did you two do to Kai?" Heero asked. Duo sat down on the couch next to Heero.

"Well, after we went to see the puppet show, I bought Kay some ice cream. Well, she ate some of it and rubbed the rest of it on my face." Duo said. Heero laughed and pulled Duo close to him.

"I was starting to believe she was going to turn out to be more like Kai." Heero said. Duo looked up at Heero.

"What happened around here? Did I miss anything?" Duo asked. Heero shook his head.

"Nothing much happened around here. It seemed just like another day." Heero said. Duo snuggled up to Heero.

"Well, maybe you can come with us next time." Duo said.

"No. I don't want to be a bother." Heero said. Duo shook his head.

"Kay loves you and so does Kai. Neither one would mind. I'm sure that we would be more than happy to have you along with us. Come on Heero." Duo said. Heero looked down to see two huge violet eyes. He smiled and nodded. There was no way he could say no to that. Duo smiled and rested his head on Heero's shoulder. Heero just held him close to him, hoping that he could keep Duo there forever in his arms.

Quatre took out his violin and started to tune it. There was a knock on the door and Trowa walked in. Quatre smiled and put his violin down.

"What's up, Trowa?" Quatre asked. Trowa shrugged.

"I don't know. It's been a while since we played together. You don't mind that I join you, do you?" Trowa said. Quatre smiled.

"I'd be more than happy if you joined me, Trowa." Quatre said. Trowa smiled and took out his flute. Suddenly the two were off in their own world. Their duet played through the house. They seemed so into it that they didn't even notice that they had an audience.

Since Trowa had left the door open, Kay was able to crawl in. She sat in front of them and watched them play. She felt a little left out so she started to hum along with them. Neither Quatre or Trowa could hear her. They were to immersed in their musical world. Kay watched them with delight. It seemed so interesting to her that they could make music with their intruments. She didn't really understand that was the way music was made. She hadn't learned that yet, but she was hoping that they would show her when they finished.

"Hey Duo, Heero. Have either of you seen Kay?" Kai asked. Heero shook his head and so did Duo.

"Why? Did you lose her?" Duo said. Heero hit Duo on the head.

"Don't say that, baka." Heero said. Kai shook her head.

"No. I just think it's time for her diaper to be changed and I can't find her." Kai said.

"Did you ask Wufei?" Heero asked. Kai nodded her head.

"He said the last time he saw her was at lunch." Kai said.

"Why don't you ask Trowa and Quatre?" Duo asked.

"I just hope that they're not into their little world again." Kai said.

"Well, they do get that way when they play together." Duo said. Kai nodded and headed towards Quatre's room.

To Trowa, time seemed to move very slowly. It had been a while since he and Quatre had played together. It felt great to have someone to pratice with again. Trowa paused to take a breath and opened his eyes. There sitting in the middle of the floor was Kay. She was quietly watching them play. Trowa stopped and looked at her. She smiled at him and continued to watch Quatre playing. Quatre finally noticed that Trowa had stopped and did the same.

"Why did you stop, Trowa?" Quatre asked. Trowa nodded towards Kay.

"I just noticed that we have an audience." Trowa said. Quatre looked at Kay, who was smiling.

"Well, you like music, Kay?" Quatre asked. Kay nodded and clapped her hand and hummed the melody they had been playing. Trowa laughed.

"Well, she is Kai's daughter. It's only natural that she be interested in music." Trowa said. Quatre picked up Kay and put her in his lap. Then he picked up his violin and held it in front of Kay. Kay started to pluck the strings and laughed. She seemed quite pleased that she could make the piece of wood make music.

"Well, if time permits, I think I could start to teach her." Quatre said.

"Yeah, but not today." Kai said. Trowa, Quatre and Kay looked to the door. Kai stood in the doorway. Kay laughed and plucked one of the strings again.

"Well, I know that. Maybe one day, I was thinking about." Quatre said. Kai smiled and walked over to Quatre. She carefully picked up Kay.

"I'm sure she'll want to learn. Especially from you two, but right now she needs her diaper changed." Kai said as she walked out of the room. Trowa looked at Quatre.

"I guess we're all going to be part of little Kay's life after all." Trowa said. Quatre smiled.

"What made you think otherwise?" Quatre said. Trowa shrugged.
