"What did you say?" I asked in surprised as I stood in front of him. "Relena Peacecraft?"

"Yeah, Relena Peacecraft," he replied without any expression.

"Why's that? "When did you meet her?" I asked again. "How come I didn't know anything about this?"

"Last week. She went to my school.

Suddenly, I felt some weird feeling inside of me. I couldn't figure out what it was. But just thinking about Heero and Relena made me jealous? Of what? I know I'm the love of Heero's life but why was I having this strange feeling?

"What for?"

"Duo. I'm tired and I don't feel like talking right now," he said as he stood up and looked deep into my eyes. He leaned over me and kissed me at my left cheek as he whispered softly into my ear that everything will be alright. At that moment, I couldn't think of anything else but the love between us. I believed him more than I can ever believe myself. When I looked back into his eyes, I don't see the tough person standing in front of me. What I see is an innocent angel trapped in a body of a boy. The angel who's so pure in love with me, shinigami.

Sometimes whenever I watched him sleep next to me, I could cry in sorrow. It's because whenever I'm with him, I feel that I don't deserve him. Although his life is full of sin, but what goes on in my life, it's more than just a sin. I don't even know my own life which I lead everyday. The cheerful face is just a mask. A mask to hide what's truly inside of me. I'm lying to myself , to innocent people, to God and I'm lying to the only one I love. If Heero ever finds out, I don't know if he'll ever forgive me.

"I believe in you, Heero," I smiled at him as I enclosed our conversation that night with a passionate kiss on his lips. I could feel myself melting into his arms as he kissed me back. Everything around us faded away. We'ree in our own world right now and nothing can stop it.

"Sayonara," I cried as I waved him goodbye. I watched him walk his way to school, the same thing everyday and yet I'm not tired of it. How I'm supposed to get ready for work.

I carefully closed the window as I stretched myself for a moment. It'll be another half an hour before I get going. Taking my own sweet time, I went to the kitchen and pour some coffee for myself.

My eyes suddenly caught something, Heero's laptop. He forgot to switch it off, careless for the first time. My finger accidentally pushed a key and something suddenly popped out the screen. A letter.

Dear Heero, Remember our date today. Meet me at the coffeehouse around the park by 1.00pm sharp. I'll be waiting!

Yours truly, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I was speechless. My eyes widen, my mouth hung open, and my hand letting go of the cup I was holding. I couldn't even move! I could see the black cup breaking into a thousand pieces in front of me, and the coffee spreading on the carpet by the corner of my eye. But my mind wasn't there - who could this mysterious person be?

"Duo? Duo! Are you still alive?"

"Huh? Ooh yeah..."

My boss looked at me sternly with his arms crossed. The only thing I could do was smile to him.

"What's bothering you, son?" he asked me as he sat right in front. "When was the last time you confessed at the church?"

"A year ago," I replied with a grin. "Or maybe two."<
br> "No wonder you look all lost!" he said aloud. "Listen, Duo. At lunch time, I'm making sure you go to the church and do your thing."

"But why?" I asked.

"Duo of Maxwell. You're a good mechanic and so are you to God. I'm not letting work get in your way with Him." He stood up and walked away right after saying those words, which meant a lifetime to me. Maybe I didn't go to church that day but at least that was the day I finally remembered that God still exists! Hmmphh - me shinigami remembering God. Hard to believe but true. Absolutely positively true.

I picked up the cloth from the table as I began to polish the car, which I've already repaired just now. Sweats from my face fell on its body, making me go through my pocket to find a handkerchief.

Suddenly, as I pulled out my hankie, a picture of me and Heero came out as well as it landed on the car's silver metallic body. Slowly I picked it up, and took a good look. I sighed as I tried to remember the time when the picture was taken. It was right after the war, before we went our separate ways. Quatre was the one who took the picture for us, and Heero was refusing to even look at the camera. It had took us a while to -

"1.20pm!" I cried as I glanced at the clock hanging right on top of the garage's door. I rushed into the office and picked up my black jacket as I dashed down the street, straight towards the park. "I'm gonna make it in time! "I'm gonna make it in time!"

I was destined to find out who Heero's going to meet today, no matter what! The park was too far away, I knew I'll never make it in time if I ran all the way there. Taking the cab wasn't much use either. Instead I got stuck in a major traffic jam.

"I'll just get down here," I told the cab driver as I dashed out of the cab without even paying him. Looking at the road ahead, there was no way I could run between the cars. So I jumped on the roof of each cars, making everyone sticking their heads outside and throwing out harsh words at me. I don't mind, I don't mind it at all. I'm doing this for Heero - I'm doing this for love.

No one would ever believe what I went through. After jumping on car roofs, I got chased by a pack of dogs, then hitched a ride at the back of a garbage truck, jumped off a flyover and landed on the main road, nearly got hit by a truck. Finally, I cornered myself to the right and found myself all puffed out in front of the coffeehouse. I scanned the entire place , looking for a sign of Heero. But I failed.

2.00 p.m. - no wonder. After all I've been through, this is absolutely useless. I should have just listened to my boss and go to the church. Sadly I walked away before I decided to kick a dustbin which was next to me.

"Hey!" a policeman called. "You better picked those trash back or I'll give you a ticket!"

Frustrated, I squatted down and began picking up the trash, which had spilled everywhere. Suddenly something caught a glimpse of my eye. Heero Yuy! He was sitting on a table in the park sipping some coffee alone! I got up and began walking towards him with a huge grin. But before I could reach him, a guy came towards him and sat right in front of him.

I couldn't really see who it was, my view was being blocked by a treeEand he was facing his back at me. I tried to move closer, and tiptoed behind the tree. Slowly I took a good look of Heero and - and...

"No!" I cried. "No it can't be!"

The mysterious guy was none other than

Trowa Barton...
