Nick approached the robot, and drew his massive blade.
The robot acted instinctively. Its blade fell heavily on top of the
boy’s blade. The two exchanged blows for a few minutes, until Nick
could feel himself tire from the weight of the blade.
The robot however felt no fatigue, and continued
its heavy onslaught. Its blade finally burst into flames, and Nick
winced. Finally the beast swung a blow so hard that Nick’s blade
flew straight from his hands.
As the next few blows came, Nick slowly moved towards
the turbines. As its blade came down the boy managed to dodge to
the side, and the blade was caught in the turbines. Nick watched
as the robot was slowly drug in, and crushed.
“Whew,” Nick said, as he retrieved his blade.
“We want to be a little quicker. It took us an hour just to get here!
We need to get through these doors.”
The large security doors were held secured by an
unseen force. No one could tell whether it was technology or magic.
Mina tried several times to pry the door open, but it just didn’t.
Nick hacked at the door with his sword, but not a dent could be visibly
seen. Finally Lita told them both to stand back.
A large bolt of lightening struck the door, and
blew it open. Inside was a small escape shuttle, but on the runway
were more of those security druids. Nick drew his sword, and rolled
into the room.
Lita picked up the nearest robot, and threw it into
another. As each robot was hit it seemed like there was no end.
Another robot flew towards Nick, only to be taken apart by a single slash.
As the next wave pushed forward, they soon realized they were being forced
away from each other.
“This won’t do!” Mina yelled, as she dodged
to the side of another blade. Her heel found its mark, and she pushed
the robot away.
“I know!” Lita shouted in return. She
grabbed a blade, and turned throwing the robot into the wall. The
small electricity rod extended from her tiara. As the bolt of lightening
from nowhere was coming the rod was separated by one of their blades.
The electricity shot around her, sparking into several of the robots, but
doing no real harm.
“Hey! Watch out!” Mina shouted.
The blonde girl kicked off the head of one of the robots, onto a large
box. Just as the box exploded beneath her she flipped through the
air. “Venus Meteor Shower!”
Several streaks of energy flew down, then they too
multiplied into smaller balls of streaking light. Each of these struck
into the robot security, and several of the druids fell over. The
rest slowly shuddered, and either powered down or exploded. Mina elegantly
landed, with her foot firmly planted into the chest of the last standing
druid.
“I wonder how the others are doing?” Nick asked,
as several security turrets opened up above them. All eyes looked
towards the dangerous turrets, as bits of blue light fired from them.
Hidden behind the shuttle, Sailor Venus and Sailor
Jupiter knew that they were completely out of luck. With the turrets
mercilessly ripping away at their shuttle, it was almost ready to blow.
Without Lita’s lightening rod she couldn’t channel any magic, and that
last attack had completely drained Mina’s magical reservoir.
There was only one thing left to do. They
would have to disarm the turrets without their super powers. Nick
again carefully peered over the side, barely ducking away from the blue
lights.
“I think that does it!” Mina said. “We
have to get out of here, if they blow up the shuttle there’ll be no way
out when we need to get a’ move on.”
Nick nodded, and carefully positioned himself near
the side of the shuttle. “What are we waiting for? I’ll draw
their fire, and one of you get up there and disable it.”
“Disable it? How?”
“Just you two, turn the turrets at each other.
You should be able to sneak up on them, once that’s out of the way
we just have to wait for your friends.”
Mina positioned herself behind the shuttle, Lita
on the left, Nick on the right. Nick rolled out, barely avoiding
the burning blue lights. He danced around, and they followed his
every move. Several of the lights burned his arms and legs, but none
scored a straight on hit. Once he had the backs of the turrets towards
the Sailor Scouts, Mina began.
“3… 2… 1, let’s go Sailor Venus, don’t screw yourself
on this jump.” The blonde girl jumped onto the shuttle, then flipped
onto one of the turrets. Lita ran at the second one from behind,
and jumped up at it. She grabbed it, and with her strength was slowly
turning it. Mina however, was having much more trouble holding on
to the turrets.
“Alright don’t fail me now!” Nick yelled up
to the two girls. He noticed that they were having troubles of their
own.
“Nick! Run between the turrets! Mina
can’t get her to move!” Lita shouted down, as her turret fired again
and again. As Nick ran between them, the speed of Mina’s turret was
so quick and violent she was thrown from it, Lita held on fast.
As soon as Lita forced her turret to face the other
though, she leapt off it. The tall girl landed elegantly on the ground,
but the smaller one slammed onto the ground hard. Nicholas ran over
to check on their wounded friend, as an explosion of light above them showed
that their plan had worked.
Lita’s eyes next fell on the cargo bay, as it opened
up. Nick didn’t even look up, as he desperately tried to get Sailor
Venus to recover consciousness. All that was in the cargo bay was
a pedestal, with a large cube shaped blue stone.
In a flash of light a large man stood there, stone
gone. Lita stood up, and tried to extend her lightening rod.
She cursed herself as she remembered, it was gone. The man had a
single claw on his right hand, a club in his left.
“I am Guzor, I won’t allow you to repossess the
shuttle.” Nick looked up, and acknowledged, but returned to nursing
Mina. Guzor came flying towards Lita, their green eyes stared into
the others. Guzor swung his club around with an amazing might, and
sent Lita flying into the remains of several of the robots.
“Oh, don’t count me out yet!” She shouted,
as she picked up one of the bladed arms. Guzor came at her again,
and his claw scraped along her chest. Guzor went into a frenzy at
the sight of blood. His vicious attacks seemed to grow in strength,
but he couldn’t score a decisive hit, and neither could Sailor Jupiter.
Finally, Guzor brought his massive club high over
his head. Lita spotted the opening, and jabbed. Guzor’s mouth
fell open, and blood trickled out. Guzor fell back, and disappeared
in a spiral of light.
“Why didn’t you help?” Lita yelled, as she
tied up one of the wounds on her arm. Nick winced, but said nothing.
“You know I could’ve been killed! But no, you had to stay with her.
She’d be fine!”
“She’s out cold! What if he had attacked her
instead?”
“He attacked me, that’s all that matters Nick.
We should never have brought you with us. Bring her into the shuttle,
and figure out how to work it. I hope the others are OK.”
“Don’t boss me around! I’ll do it, but only
because I have to.” Nick said, as he flung Mina over his shoulder.
Tuxedo Mask in front, as Matt marveled at the small
diskette he held. Behind them, Sailor Saturn used her glaive as a
walking stick. So far they hadn’t come across any sort of resistance,
it was too easy. Matt fingered the small thing tied to his arm.
Zentar had made it, and told him exactly when to use it. Zentar
had called it a ‘fire bomb’. It could explode into an eruption of
fire. The only problem was, Zentar wasn’t sure of its range.
Matt looked around the complex ship, then yelled for them to get down.
As they all ducked, a streak of light flew over their heads, and struck
Hotaru’s glaive, sending it flying down the hall.
“Oh no! I need that!” Hotaru shouted
as she ran to recover it.
“I am sorry sir! I missed!” Said a female
voice. Ekomin appeared next to her. The girl wore a flowing
purple robe that completely covered her. Only her eyes showed behind
a small eye slit. Her bright blue eyes danced with hidden lights.
Her arms rested at her side, but energy flowed down her arms. Also
was a man dressed in hard, heavy leathers with a bag of heavy looking stones.
The man glowed with energy.
“Anne, take care of cape boy. Tarool! Deal
with the girl, leave the boy to me!” Ekomin shouted, as he whipped out
his rod. Matt visibly winced. A small blue light flashed behind
all of them.
Tuxedo Mask leapt away from another searing streak
of light. A rose appeared in his hand, as the next beam was being
prepared, the rose struck the witch’s hand. The spell fluttered into
the wind, and was lost.
“Tuxedo Mask! You can’t beat me!” Anne floated
into the air, as a small ball formed in her hand. The icy ball flew
towards him, but he deflected it with his cape. Pressing a small
button, his grinned as his cane extended while jumping towards Anne.
His look became a surprise, when she disappeared from in front of him,
and he slammed into the wall. He dropped to the ground, rolled left,
and hurled a single rose, striking Anne’s mask, and ripping it off.
Tuxedo Mask looked away, as a head with snake-like hairs looked at him.
“Why don’t you look, Tuxedo Mask?” Anne asked,
as the thirteen snakes fell off her head, and slithered towards him.
The caped man leapt through the air, and opened his cape. A dozen
roses flew from his cape, and each struck a snake, pinning it to the ground.
The last one squished under him.
“Impressive, but can you avoid this?” Anne
shouted as a series of light balls flew towards him. Tux grinned,
and spun his cane in a defensive motion. All of them bounced away.
Anne shrunk back.
“Alright! This is your last chance!
Leave now, or I’ll have to finish this.” Anne simply laughed at him.
“You, beat me? You’re a riot Tuxedo Mask!”
Anne prepared another massive bolt of light. Tuxedo Mask charged
a rose, only two left, and threw it at the light that danced between her
hands. In a brilliant flash of light, the spell dispersed.
She floated in the air, sending another set of lightening balls.
Tuxedo Mask spun, sending his cane spinning, reflecting the balls of lightening
away. She cursed, and sent a larger ball of lightening his way, a
rose struck into it. “Tuxedo Mask! You cannot win me!” A ball
of lightening flew towards him, and Tuxedo Mask extended his cane and hit
the ball of lightening, which reflect and struck her. There
was a flash and all that remained was a brilliant fluorescent orb, and
Anne was gone.
Tomoe Hotaru retrieved her glaive, as a sudden image
ran through her mind. She felt the power of an energy blast roar
towards her. She turned her head, and barely dodged to the side of
the roaring blue beam. She looked at where the beam had come from
and saw the maker, a large man dressed in heavy leathers.
“Tuxedo Mask! Matt! Help!” Sailor Saturn
yelled, as the man held out his hand. A rock appeared in his hand,
and he tossed it at her. It exploded in a flash of blue light, sending
the senshi flying through the air.
“I am Tarool, of the knights of Gerrin. You,
Sailor Saturn, have been given the esteem opportunity to be my opponent.
Prepare to be destroyed, firefly!” Tarool flew towards him
Hotaru grimaced as Tarool flew towards her.
Where had he come from? Using her glaive she knocked him aside.
Another stone flew towards her, Tarool smiled viciously. She couldn’t
dodge it. Could she? As another explosion erupted behind her,
Hotaru felt exhaustion setting in. She couldn’t pull off another
flip like that, so that stone slammed her hard in her chest. The
young girl flew across the ground, her glaive spinning away to the side.
Hotaru couldn’t even stand on her own, she needed to use the wall for support.
“Come on firefly! Can’t you do better?”
He laughed as he lobbed another series of rocks at her. Each one
struck around her, tossing the small, fragile girl around. She felt
her world dying, until another rock sent her spinning to her glaive.
Saturn picked it up, and held it as a walking stick. Tarool laughed
at her.
“I am the melancholic warrior, Sailor Saturn, Firefly
of the Earth! Silence Wall!” A
spinning wall of light circled around Hotaru, as the Silence Wall barrier
formed.
Matt watched Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Saturn fight,
and then remembered that he himself had a matter to attend with.
Of course, he couldn’t physically defeat Ekomin, he had to think of something.
His mind floated back to what he and Zentar had planned. Since he
was completely immune to the aftermath, he would use it. “Matt, you
can stand in flame,” Zentar had said to him.
“But it isn’t pleasant. It still irritates
my eyes some.”
“But you can, this bomb will envelop a small room,”
“How small?”
“OK, a bathroom. Be careful with it.
It’s the only one I’ve got.” Zentar had stated, before leaving Matt.
Now he had bigger things to worry about. He snapped out of his reverie
in time to watch a white flash.
The ball of energy slammed his shoulder, a small
cylinder fell loose from its holdings. Matt looked at it, and began
thinking. Before he could grab it though, Ekomin had kicked it aside.
“No cheating Matt! Come on, can’t you fight
your own battles?” Ekomin asked, as his next kick came across Matt’s
face. The third and fourth blows smashed into his chest and stomach.
Matt slowly inched away so that Ekomin’s back was to the bomb.
“Yahoo!” Matt shouted, as he charged Ekomin,
who flipped him as expected. Matt skittered along the ground, and
retrieved the cylinder. Ekomin gasped, as Anne fizzled away.
Tuxedo Mask looked over at the fighters, but knew better than to interfere
with the duel.
Matt discretely tapped his Leo medallion while everyone
watched the light show. After the display though Ekomin launched a vicious
assault. The explosion of blue lights that signaled Tarool’s defeat.
Matt then recovered from the assault that Ekomin had launched, and rolled
away.
“Stop Ekomin! You’re beat, this can destroy
you!” Matt yelled, Ekomin reeled at the sight of the cylinder then
laughed. Matt tried to focus through a stream of blood, and saw Ekomin
rushing towards him. ‘Good,’ Matt thought. ‘at least I won’t have
to throw this towards Tuxedo Mask and her.
Ekomin ran towards Matt, who sidestepped the charge,
and sent the larger man away from them. Tuxedo Mask ran over to check
on Sailor Saturn. Ekomin turned around, and watched the cylinder
fly through the air. “Goodbye, Ekomin!” Matt yelled, as a brilliant
explosion of flame engulfed the man. Ekomin roared as the flames
consumed him. He fell to one knee, and in a dazzling explosion of
red, orange and yellow lights Ekomin ve’ Gerris, Second General of the
Mizzen Council died.
“Sailor Moon, Mars, and Mercury.” Jedite said,
as he stood between them and the main hall. A muscular man stood
next to him. He looked at Jedite, and motioned for him to speak.
“General Rock will fight one of you, to death, the others may go on.”
As Sailor Moon was about to step forward, Mercury stepped up.
“Sailor Moon, you have to destroy that cannon!
Mars, go with her. I’ll hold my own against this clout.”
“Ok!” Mars said, leaping over the men
standing in their way. Serena followed, and ran to the main hall.
“General Jedite, don’t let them attack the
cannon!” Rock shouted, as Jedite followed the two. The large
man turned back to face Sailor Mercury. “You my dear, are going no
where! I’m going to smash you.”
“Mercury Bubbles, Blast!”
Ami shouted, as the room fogged up. “Catch me if you can!”
She shouted, as she ducked away into a small corner. When the fog
cleared in a few minutes, Rock had fallen for her trick, and was running
in the other direction, away from the other Sailor Scouts. Ami sighed,
and prepared her visors. She had to keep Rock from locking on to
her position with his magical senses. She took off; silently following
him, hoping her false trail would work.
“You two stop!” Jedite yelled, appearing in
front of the massive clock. He was tiny compared to it.
“I am Sailor Moon! You’ve heard it all before,
so I won’t bore you. Moon Tiara, Magic!”
Jedite dodged the tiara, and screamed. The massive clock shattered
into twelve parts, and flew out of the window.
“No! The Time Clock!”
“What’s with that clock?” Raye asked.
“You’ll never know!” He sent a glowing ball
of energy, and it smashed Sailor Moon aside and out the entrance.
Sailor Mars looked behind her, and prepared a magical flaming arrow.
She looked at Jedite, who stood confidently on the cannon’s nose.
She sent the arrow flying.
Rock ran into the small closet. “I have you
know…? What?” The tiara he stared at disappeared. He turned
around as he watched the entrance of the room froze solid. Ami stood
there with the tiara on her head, she was completely drained, but there
was no way Rock could break free.
“Let me out! You must fight to the death.”
Ami wiped away a tear, and watched it fall to the
ground. “Rock, if that’s your real name, you are going to freeze
like an icicle in there. You are right, I can’t beat you, but I certainly
can out think you. Goodbye.”
“No, you can’t!’ Rock yelled, as he
tried to break through the icy barrier. Ami quickly ran to the shuttle
bay, where she found the rest.
“Our injured currently are,” Matt began, “Hotaru
Tomoe, who will be unconscious for?” The young boy glanced towards
Ami.
“A few hours, Mina’s concussion is much, much worse.
She could fall into a coma any minute now. Serena has already awaked.
Matt, Tuxedo Mask, is Ekomin dead?”
“Yes, Nick can’t you run this thing smoother?”
Darien yelled, Nick shouted an inaudible insult back. Lita sighed,
as she tended to her wound. Raye looked up at Castle Skyler, and
screamed.
“Everyone! It’s blowing up!” Raye shouted.
The entire fortress was going up in flames. At first it fell apart,
and then it was sucked into a black hole. They all watched as another
shuttle plummeted north of Japan. It sunk deep into the ocean, and
a single figure swum away from it.
“Should we get him?” Matt asked, but Darien
held him back.
“No, let him go. We don’t have to worry about
him.”
And with that, the Mizzen Council was defeated,
and the weekend passed. Perhaps the Sailor Scouts could return to
a normal life, as normal girls?
On an abandoned hill, Gregory Ryo sat alone.
Then a rustle came from behind him. He stood, and drew his stiletto.
“Come out Shism!”
“What?” Came a voice, an armored man stepped
out. The man was bald, and dressed in glistening golden colored armor.
In his hands was a large, naginata.
“I know about your Midnight Order, and Lady Sillan.
Rochelle is dead, and I will never tell you were those pieces are.”
“Then I’ll make you talk! Future-seer, prepare
to die.” Greg turned his stiletto on himself, and Shism stopped.
“One more move, and I’ll make the motion.
I’ll die, and you’ll never find the pieces of that damn clock.”
“You win, Future-seer. The Midnight Order
can find all twelve pieces, and reclaim what the Mizzen Council stole.
You tell your allies that.” Shism disappeared in an eerie white glow.
Greg sighed, could this be what his most recent vision had warned him of?
His dreams were becoming too intense, after a few
he would pass out, or throw up. He was near insanity from some.
He couldn’t handle all the images, but this vision only one word appeared
in his mind: ‘Kuzor’.
