Chapter I: Rochelle as Ami...
Rochelle stared at the beautiful sapphire pin she wore.  General Garnet had awarded it to her in place of General Trevor.  There was only one thing being used for General Trevor’s funeral; it was a small glass coffin.  Finally Ekomin, Garnet, and Rochelle exited the darkened room.  The blonde general took his seat at the round table.  Rochelle seated herself to his right, Ekomin his right.
    “General Jedite?” Ekomin asked.
“That’s not my NAME!” Garnet shouted at Ekomin.  “I am General Garnet!”
“But you were General Jedite of the Dark Kingdom.  Your own personnel mission against these scouts has cost us thirteen stone creatures, and General Trevor.”  Ekomin slammed his hand into the table.  “Tell me, why are we striking them down!”
“We need the blue-haired one’s computer.  Rochelle, can you get that discretely for us?”
Ekomin stood up at the insult.  “Listen to me!  I am the second general and I will recover that computer!”
Rochelle laughed.  “I defeated Sailor Jupiter, you were defeated by a boy with a knife!  Who should be fourth general in my place?”  She flicked her long red pony-tailed in his direction.  Ekomin snuffed at her.
Garnet smirked.  He loved being in control.  And with this he would show the Sailor Scouts who was to fear.  He cleared his throat. “I haven’t been able to probe Mercury’s mind and find the password.  You’ll have to remain there until you get the password!  Those cats will know.”
The albino man looked towards Garnet.  “Jedite, I will try!  Don’t send this witch!  She has very little power, and we don’t want to cost her life along with Trevor’s.”
“I can handle this.  Watch me!”  She walked over to the glass coffin containing Sailor Mercury.  Rochelle touched the girl’s face as she shrunk in stature and muscle.  Her hair turned white, then blue receding to the length of Ami’s.  But the thing that made Garnet sick was the way the eyes bled when the color changed.
“General Rochelle, remember your presence here is very weak.  If that Sapphire pin is ever broken you will be lost in the void of time.” Garnet said.  He watched as she disappeared in her red light.
“Jedite, I am your superior in rank.  You are just in charge of this mission.  The first General will hear of this.  Trevor the fifth general, and his death, is not going to look good on your record, third general.”
“I understand Ekomin, second general.  But who is the first general?”
“Someone you may know.” Ekomin said in a flash of yellow light.  Jedite cursed him.  Trevor, the fifth general, would have died soon anyway.  Rochelle, the fourth general, was a shape changer and useful to him.  But he was still only the third general!  He wanted the first rank that Ekomin jealously guarded.
The blonde man looked down on Sailor Mercury.  “Ami, Sailor Mercury, you have just entered the lion’s den.  ‘Welcome to my den, said the spider to the fly.’  So the Senshi of Water has fallen?  Well... this is better than even Malachite could do.  One down, four to go.”  Jedite laughed evilly.
* * *

Rochelle as Ami walked through the streets. She didn’t believe how good it felt in this body.  Of course she still had her magic, but she couldn’t use Sailor Mercury’s pen, if they had it.  Not to mention she had a higher natural energy output level then Ami Mizuno, so two things she would have to avoid was scans and fighting.  Rochelle as Ami walked into the small apartment.  If only she could find a quick way of finding out about Ami Mizuno.  If only, it was just then that she remembered that Earth girls kept something called a diary.  If only she could find this girl’s….
“Ami!” Laura called Rochelle as Ami turned around instinctively.  She had to remember to be Ami.  “I heard that you were staying at the Cherry Hill Temple tonight… oh well!  Darling, there’s some money for you on the fridge, be careful and don’t study too late.  Also I think Greg will be stopping by later.”  Dr. Mizuno gave Ami a little wink as she hurriedly put on her coat.
“Greg!” Rochelle as Ami stated as her cheeks went red with anger.  Her ‘mother’ perceived this as embarrassment.  She simply told her girl to be good and left, never suspecting that Ami was in reality the fourth general of a demon’s army.

Greg glanced nervously at his watch.  Seven.  What would he tell Ami’s mom? The truth he guessed.  Ami was Sailor Mercury, and now Sailor Mercury is dead.  There that was simple.  One little sentence, that was it.  But it was probably going to be traumatic to Dr. Mizuno.  Straightening his tie he knocked on the door.  A muffled voice told him to wait a second.  Then Ami opened the door.  Greg stopped and stared at her.  She was dressed in a very particular fashion.  The dress came barely to mid-thigh, and was dark purple in color, and she wore a white T-shirt that fit snuggly around her.  She also wore her bandanna.  But the thing that he thought most alluring, was the sapphire pin hooked onto the belt worn around her waist.  That pin?  Where had he seen it before?
“Ami!  You’re here, but I thought. What happened?”  Greg asked, looking her over once more.  He wanted to grab her in his arms and kiss her, but she probably wouldn’t like that one bit.  It was best to let things happen as they come.
“Well, it’s hard to explain.”  Ami said, as she let him in.  Greg looked around; her mother must have had to step out again.  He took his seat near the small table.  There was the chessboard, not set up. Something unusual about that, since every other time he had come it was set up.  He guessed that nearly being killed was a good enough excuse for not setting up a game of chess.
Ami walked into the kitchen, and yelled out, “Greg, could you set the game board up in there? I’ll get something for us to drink.”
Greg set the chessboard up expertly.  When Ami returned with some tea she took her seat at black’s end of the board.  During the entirety of the game, short as it was, she didn’t look much at the board. She stared right into Greg’s eyes the entire time.  He could feel her analyzing him, like he was a math problem, or a chapter in science.  It really made him get hot under the collar.  Of course, whenever she moved Greg returned her stare.
In only a quick few rounds Greg had Ami in a Fool’s Mate.  He carefully analyzed her face as she winced.  How had she fallen for such an easy attack?  Maybe she was thinking about something else.  Greg smiled to himself, a bit full of himself, but not overly so.
“Ami, are you alright?  You still haven’t explained how you escaped.”  Greg asked.
“I just did Greg!  You don’t need to pry!”  Greg felt slightly hurt.  Ami never had snapped at him like that before.  “As for being alright, yes I am.  All things considered.  I need to record Trevor’s death in my computer, could you excuse me for a minute?”
Greg nodded and watched Ami walk out.  She looked great tonight!  He wondered why she had dressed up, or down.  He looked over the board one more time to make sure he hadn’t made a mistake.  No, there it was plain as day.  Fool’s Mate.  There was something very wrong with Ami.  Never had he even seen this happen, as much as being lucky enough to do it, referring to the Fool’s Mate.  But the way Ami winced she must not have been paying attention.
That was it, she was too busy with other things.  He closed his eyes remembering how she looked.  This was one of the few moments in his life he wished he had a camera.  It was then that he remembered, if the others thought she was dead… then he had her all to himself tonight!  Even if there was an attack, they wouldn’t call Ami, since she was ‘dead’.   He smiled; maybe he would get that kiss in sooner or later.  He returned to examine the board.

Rochelle as Ami walked into the girl’s room.  This was the guy that Trevor had tried to kill?  But why?  He was nice and sure seemed handsome enough.  He also seemed to have a thing for Ami, which anyone could have noticed.  It was a good thing that Rochelle as Ami had noticed his attraction, because she was excellent at playing the temptress.
Retrieving the pink computer she proceeded to try a few quick codes. ‘Laura’. Incorrect.  ‘Greg’. Incorrect.  ‘Ami’. Incorrect.  ‘Mercury’. Incorrect.  Damn!  She recorded those four words down on a scribble of paper, and walked out (more like sauntered) out to see Greg.  She was amazed at how he analyzed the game board.  Or ‘chessboard’ as he had called it.  The way he looked flustered when she stood over him made her think.  Maybe she could convince him to tell her the password, and solve this all quickly.  But not right away, otherwise he may be suspicious.  Best go slow, one thing at a time.
Sliding next to Greg, she placed the computer in his hands.  The mini-computer was an amazing device, too complicated for Rochelle as Ami.  Greg stared at her dumbfounded, and she played up on her role. She gently lay her head on his shoulder and sighed.
    “Ami, are you ok?”
“Just a little tired.”  She said, as she untied the bandanna around her head.  Greg made a stifled gulping noise.  He put an arm around her, and held her close.
“Ami, maybe I should come back tomorrow?”  Greg asked her, but she responded by just touching her fingers to his lips.  Greg was completely baffled.  Any moment now he was expecting Ami to blush, giggle, or do something to break the tranquility.  He then looked down on the computer.
“You want to write the report in to the cats?”  She asked him, as she turned so her back was resting on his side.  Rochelle as Ami stretched her legs out, and placed her head against Greg’s chest.  This boy was acting rather odd.  Instead of doing anything he just sat there, flustered and red.

Greg sat there, flustered and red.  He looked back down, and noticed the password still needed to be entered.  He poked Ami gently on the shoulder, but she simply opened a beautiful eye and smiled at him.
“Yes Greg, darling?” Ami asked him.
“You need to enter your password first.”
“You do it.” Ami said in a very relaxed, almost flirtatious tone.
“I don’t know your password.”  Greg was amazed at how quickly she sat up, and inched away from him.  He put the computer down, and put both his arms around her.  The look on her face showed her confusion.  He put one of his hands in her hair, and stroked her hair gently.  This only got him a slap.
“Greg! Get out.  Now!”  She stated standing up.  Greg rose to his feet, and tried to apologize, but she simply crossed her arms and motioned towards the door.  Maybe he was a bit to forward.
“Wait, Ami, let me apologize.  I thought…”
    “Well you thought wrong!”
“Can I make it up to you tomorrow, after your Juku?”
    “Juku?” Ami asked him.
    “Yeah, after school.  You OK?”
“Yes.”  Ami had to quickly find herself a schedule!  Oh no!  And school!
Greg slowly walked towards the elevator.  Something was really wrong.  Maybe Matt or Nick would know something?

Serena couldn’t believe her luck!  It turned out Ami was ok!  Everyone was doing fine!  In fact, Trevor was dead, and Matthew said that there wasn’t even a house there anymore.  And now, Ami was coming out of Juku.  The blue-haired genius stepped out, her face downcast.
    “Ami!”
“Who is it?” The girl asked, and Serena looked at her rather awkwardly.
“Ami, it’s me Serena.  Don’t even remember?” Serena joked.
“Oh, Serena!  What is it you want?”
    “Greg said you were…”
“Don’t talk about him!” Ami said, as she whipped out a textbook.  Then she threw into her briefcase.  “I don’t want to hear about him, or anything like that, Meatball head!”
“Don’t call me meatball head!  Oh, Ami… love on the rocks?”
    “I don’t love him!  He’s a pain.”
“Something wrong Ami?” Serena asked.  Lita ran up, and waved to them.
    “Serena, Ami, wait up!”
“Lita!” Serena shouted, waving happily.  The tall brown haired girl slapped Ami on her back.
“Watch it!”  Ami snapped at them.  They both stared at Ami.
    “Ami you ok?”
“I’m fine!  Leave me alone Serena.” Ami said as she stormed off.  Lita and Serena glanced between each other dumb-foundedly.  Something was really wrong.

* * *

“Hello Sailor Mercury,” Jedite called to her.  He had her right where he wanted her.  In her weakened state, Sailor Mercury was putty in his hands, easily falling to the manipulations of her mind that he applied.  Maybe he could easily get the password.  Then dispose of her, with that he would be greater than, Malachite or even Queen Beryl.  They couldn’t even kill one.
“Who is that?  Who am I?  Where am I?  Is this where I live?  I can’t remember anything.”  The blue haired girl said, putting a hand to her head.  Her fuku was minus the gloves, and especially short due to the tear.  Jedite admired her, but blinked in surprise to the comment, and his own staring at the girl’s form.

“You, don’t remember anything?” Jedite asked.  If she couldn’t remember the password he was sunk.  The elegant table was set for two.  Earlier he had simply wanted to sluice it out of her, but now he would need to get her memories back.
“A few things are clear.  I have a strong, sense of you.”  Sailor Mercury said, taking a seat, she began to analyze her plate.  She wasn’t apprehensive; she seemed perfectly fine.  Jedite wondered how true she.
    “Do you remember a password?”
“Who are you?  Why should I tell you?”
“I am General Garnet, of the Mizzen Council, you are a dear, close, very close friend of mine.  When those Sailor Senshis attacked I feared for your life.  They killed our friend Trevor.  We should destroy them.  You and I, together we could kill them all, and avenge him.”
“Sailor… Senshi?”  Ami asked, as she put some meat in her mouth.  She chewed softly and thought over that.  “I remember having some sort of strong feeling about them.  But what is it?”
“They are our sworn enemies!  In fact, we need you to remember the password to your computer.”
“Must we talk business General Garnet?  Can’t we have a simple social outing.”
Jedite smirked.  He was finally in control.  “A social evening my dear.  Do you recall our relationship?”
“No, my general.  Aren’t you simply my superior?”  Mercury said as she took another bite.
“No, I am much, much more.  Perhaps you should rest.”  Jedite carefully wiped his mouth.  He was almost ready to move into the second phase of his plan against the Sailor Senshi.  In fact here it was.  With that information, he could strike them one by one.
“Perhaps I should.”  Mercury said, rising from the table.
“Perhaps you should wear something more becoming of a Mizzen general?  Take that pen, and use it.”
    “How?”
Damn! “You don’t know?   You should rest.  Get with it.”  Jedite watched as Ami walked away.
    “Um, where to, General Garnet?”
“The third room on the right.”  Trevor’s room had already been cleaned out.  If Ami went in there, it would look bare and empty true, but she liked things designed for function not form.  Jedite rose to his feet, took Ami’s hand and led her to her room.
“General Garnet sir, what is your real name?”
“Go.”  Jedite told her hurriedly, shoving her into the room.  How could she know his real name?  How?

* * *

Rochelle as Ami stood in the shower.  She carefully lathered her hair.  How was she going to get the password? She returned to the room.  Boy, did Rochelle hate the blue color of… everything!  This girl had a few beautiful pictures mounted on her walls.  Then there were photographs. Of a man, probably her father, and of that boy Gregory Ryo.  There were also several clippings about how smart she was, and that she was the highest scoring student to be in Tokyo for a long time.  She was an official genius, and also very pretty.  Rochelle could get used to this.  Except that she didn’t know half as much.  But the last name was stupid, Mizuno?  Friend of Water?  Ami, also was Sailor Mercury, and that carried some weight.
Then come the knock at her door.  Rochelle as Ami did the only thing that seemed appropriate.   She pretended to be asleep.  Her mom passed by, and Rochelle as Ami breathed a sigh of relief.  She picked up her computer.  She had started going alphabetically through the dictionary, she was only at ‘Bur’.  ‘Burn’, incorrect.  ‘Burner’, incorrect.  The computer flew through the air.
“Why can’t I figure it out?”  She picked up the diary and read the last entry.  September 10, 1998.  “Hmm, Gregory Ryo.” Incorrect.  ‘Friend of Water’, incorrect.  ‘Beauty of Water’, incorrect.  Rochelle finally gave up, recorded her tries, and went to bed.

The next day Rochelle had to use some psychic abilities to keep from her looking obviously flawed.  She had to read Greg’s mind to get several answers for tests, and even had to probe the teacher’s mind!  Why she couldn’t read Ami’s mind was still a mystery to her.  Also, she had to apologize to Serena and Lita, which was very hard on Rochelle as Ami.
Tonight she had a ‘date’ with Greg.  Tonight she would get the answer from him.  At least some sort of clue.  He was going to show up in a few minutes.  In fact, he was knocking on the door right now.
She opened the door, and Greg recognized this dress.  It was a very tight, form fitting blue mini-dress.  Greg gawked at her beautiful figure.  She simply smiled, in a very flirtatious way, and Greg blushed.  She took his arm, and led him to the elevators.
“Greg, I simply can’t remember my password, and it’s deathly important.  If Luna finds out, oh Greg!  Will she rant!”  Rochelle as Ami said, putting her head on his shoulder.  Greg smiled. Tonight would be perfect!   Unlike there last two dates, not a monster in sight!

Greg walked down the park, arm in arm with his date.  He had waited so long, and finally here she was holding on to him.  He looked at her, and she smiled up at him.  She had been rather obsessed over this password thing.  Maybe he should read the paper she had given to him, the paper she said to ‘never’ read.   “Ames, you know there has never been a more peaceful night.  Look at the sky, it’s sparkles so beautifully.  All the stars in the world, let their light travel hours, some years, just so we can gaze at their beauty.  But it all pales in comparison to your eyes, and we simply see you in but a billionth of a second.  Truly you are the most gorgeous sights on the face of this earth.”  It was a rather cheap speech, but she kissed him anyway.  It was a forced kiss, her lips pressed deeply into his.
Greg blinked in surprise.  Even when he had kissed her in Trevor’s shrine she hadn’t kissed him back.  Maybe it was something he had done?  No.  As the few minutes passed, he felt sickly.  Then he felt weak, then he felt his eyes grow heavy.  Ami looked at him, then she dropped him.  If only he had known.

Rochelle as Ami’s succubus like feeding habits was still rather weak.  He would recover soon, so she needed to use his energy quickly.  She reached into her pocket book and retrieved a small black mirror.  She poured the energy into it, and imagined a large black bat. It was a vampire bat, with large talons on both its wings.  Its claws on its toes were as large as knives.
“Mirror of Souls, I call forth Sleriz of the Midnight Order!”  The girl said
The mirror responded with a dark emission of energy.  With that the black bat phased into reality.
“With this monster, I will be able to deal with the scouts, then I won’t have to find this blasted password! After all, with them all dead, Garnet won’t need the computer!”

Sleriz of the Midnight order rained down black energy.  As each little bit of energy hit the ground, up sprang a single black energy mass.  There was only a few when a hot red sports car screeched onto the scene.  The black bat took its opportunity to fly onto the nearest building.
Tuxedo Mask leaped from the car as it coasted along and connected with one.  The black creature phased out of existence.  He drew a single rose, charged it with energy, and flung it at another one of the creatures.  He watched as the energy being sucked from the rose into a small ball and disappeared.  Then he noticed was Greg and Ami were lying drained of their energy on the ground.  He ran and took them to safety.

Sailor Moon was the next to appear on the scene, with the rest of the Sailor Scouts.  They all saw the chaos on the street, as every living thing was drained of its energy.  Each time it collected into a little ball, and flew into the clouds.  Sailor Moon saw one of the creatures, and prepared her tiara.
“Moon Tiara… Magic!” She yelled, as the tiara flew towards the black shadow.    The actual tiara struck the creature, but all the energy was wasted.  Lita decided to try her luck.
“Jupiter… Thunder, CRASH!”  But the lightening too, was absorbed.  Finally Raye understood.  The next creature that came at her, she ducked away from a punch and reciprocated with a vicious uppercut of her own.  Following that, she drove her foot hard into the shadow, and watched it disappear in a horrible groan.
“That’s it!  Don’t use your magic on them! They’ll only absorb it!”  Mina yelled to them, as she round housed the next shadowy creature.  She ducked under a small black light it shot at her, and swiped it off its feet.  Standing up, she drove her heel hard into its head.  It too came apart into the black dust.

Sailor Moon had gotten separated from the group, and was surrounded by three of the big shadow things.  She took a defensive posture, than cried as the first one cracked her jaw hard.  As they second one was about to strike, a streak of silver went through and destroyed it.  Before the black dust had disappeared however, the Lucent Knight had his back turned and running in the opposite direction.
She saw her chance and jumped, rolled herself in a powerful flip forward, crushing the creature’s chest.  The third one was nearly on top of her, when a black streak, with an affixed skull on it, struck it.  Tuxedo Mask jumped down, picked up Sailor Moon, and was in the air again before any other creatures appeared.
“Sailor V, CHOP!” Mina shouted as her chop detached another creature.  She looked over and saw Raye knock another one down.  Sailor Jupiter heaved one into another, and the black mass creatures were slowly dwindling, weak little nothings with no real power.   Finally they all looked onto the top of the building, where Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask were squaring off against the big bat, and a familiar looking figure.
“Rochelle!  You’ve lost.  All your creatures are gone,” Tuxedo Mask yelled.  But Rochelle simply motioned towards the bat, laughed and leapt to an adjacent building.  The caped crusader gritted his teeth, and let another rose fly at the bat.   Of course it only tore through the gentle fibers that formed its wings.
“Tuxedo Mask!  Do you need help?”
“Destroy it Sailor Moon!”  The topped hat man said, as he jumped to the ground, landing on top one of the few remaining creatures.
“Right!  Moon Tiara, MAGIC!”  She yelled.  The golden tiara spun into a magical discus.  It connected with the bat creature.  Sleriz slowly turned into dust, then exploded.  Sailor Moon jumped in glee.  “I did it!  I defeated it!”  She clapped her hands together, as the black shadows slowly dissipated.

* * *

Rochelle appeared before two very beautiful women.  One had long dark hair, the other short blonde hair.  They both had eyes that were shaped like cats.  Finally the one with dark hair spoke.
“So Rochelle, how have you done on your intervention with the Mizzen Council?”
    “Fine Lady Sillan.”
“And what of the Sailor Scouts?  You may have gathered much energy, but it isn’t the type we need!”
“I know Lady Sillan, but I did get the energy from that boy?  Is that enough?”
“Not for the Midnight Order, we will not speak until you return to us for a permanent stay.  Defeat the Sailor Scouts, and destroy the Mizzen Council, those are your orders.”
“Yes Lady Sillan.”  With that Rochelle left the darkened room.  Lady Sillan turned to the silent one.
“Yuri, does she have it in her to do this?”
“Sleriz was one of our lieutenants, not very high, so maybe she can do it.  But for now we mustn’t worry.  If we are going to conquer earth.”
“Yes, too bad we can’t contact her for a long time now.” Lady Sillan responded.  “Why?”

* * *

Jedite carefully examined Sailor Mercury, watching her in action.  Sometime during the night she had managed to regain the entirety of her uniform.  He had pitted her against a large spider like creature.  It began by shooting webs at her, which she expertly dodged.  If she had amnesia, then her skills remained.
Finally he saw it.  Sailor Mercury channeled magic.  It was an awesome sight, with a not quite as awesome an effect.  The entire fighting arena turned into fog.  You couldn’t see what was happening.  It was then that Ekomin appeared next to him.  He laughed as he saw what Jedite was watching.
“Having fun with our new toy?  Don’t break it, you can’t get another.”
“Ekomin, she doesn’t remember.  If we use this to our advantage we can turn her against the others, then maybe we can also garner her password, and shut them down!  They won’t harm her.”  Jedite said.
The other general nodded.  “But did we have to waste a warrior to see her loyalty?”
“No, to see her strength.  If she doesn’t kill it, it kills her.”
“General Jedite, remember, Rochelle needs her alive to keep her shape.”
    “She’ll win, trust me.”

The icy storm slammed into the creature and it froze solid.  When the fog cleared there stood Sailor Mercury and a frozen enemy spider.  Two smaller spiders darted forward at her.  She flipped over one, and landed on top of it.  Driving her heel into its head, she kicked off.  The second spider jumped towards her and trapped her on the ground.
Jedite noticeably flinched.  If that thing killed her, Rochelle would have to alter shape.  Then an amazing thing happened, the spider flipped over her and splattered. Sailor Mercury jumped straight towards Jedite in his little spectator’s booth.  She crashed straight through the glass, and pinned him to the ground.
“OK!  That’s enough!  I don’t want to fight anymore!”  She said, as she relaxed her grip.  After standing up, she kicked Jedite in the face, which he simply took with stride.  He stood up, gave a hand signal to Ekomin, and motioned for Mercury to follow him.
“I’m sorry darling, I just wanted to make sure that you were still alright.  After I put you in that sleep I didn’t want you to lose any of your magic.”
“It didn’t have to be that violent.”  Jedite slid an arm around her shoulder, but she pushed away.
“Dear, get some rest.  Try and remember that pass code.  We can’t get much up and running without it.”
“I’ll try and remember, General Garnet,” Sailor Mercury said, with a sharp salute.  As she retired to her room Jedite punched the wall.  So close!  So, so, SO damn close!  Couldn’t he fare just a little better?  And how was Rochelle doing?  Was she doing any better at getting that pass code from the rest of the scouts?

Ami looked over Greg as he awoke.  She smiled and kissed him lightly on the cheek.  Greg felt flustered, but didn’t say anything.  She smiled down on him for a very long time, too long for him to be comfortable.
    “Ames, what happened?”
“Just that you were drained by some of Trevor’s goons.”
    “Isn’t he gone?”
“Yeah, but he still has some friends we think.”
“Like that red head?  I remember that she was probably next in rank.  Is Sailor Moon watching for her?”
“Yes Greg dear, just don’t worry.  Go on home.  Get to sleep there.”  Then leaning closer she whispered something in Greg’s ears that made him turn bright red.  He ran off to his home.  Whatever Ami had suggested was too much for him to handle.

Chapter II: All Lies lead to the Truth…
